help with bbpress and my theme

Published on August 2nd, 2012 by mobileaudioheadquarters

my site for reference is http://www.mobileaudioheadquarters.com/forums/

I have a few questions on the way bbpress is looking with my theme, hopefully someone can help.

the first thing is that i want to stop it from listing the topics underneath the category before you actually go into that category. You can see on the main forum page it has 3 categories (your orders, window film, and website) and underneath each one it is listing the forums in that category. any way to make this go away?

second thing is that if you create a topic and using the fancy editor on “visual” you cannot see what you are typing because it has assumed the same color background as my theme with the text remaining black. if you use the editor on “html” then it goes white and you can now see the text. UPDATE: I disabled the fancy editor because of this problem and now when I try to re enable it, it does not work. I have disable any caching plugins and cleared my browsers cache and it is not showing the fancy editor any more.

The easiest thing I suppose i need to do is change the text color in the bbpress forum only to black. Currently it is like a grey color making it difficult to see on the white forum background.

I would appreciate any help and thank you in advance.

New version of bbpress has caused fatal error?

Published on August 2nd, 2012 by RockwareIT

I have a website at http://rockwareit.net. I am using CheerApp, which was built to utilize the bbpress forum structure. Everything was fine, until I updated to bbpress, v 2.0, I think – not exactly sure, but it was the update before this last one. Now, with the new version activated, I get a fatal error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function royal_login() in /home/content/31/8787131/html/wp-content/themes/cheerapp/header.php on line 69

I have attempted to remove/edit problematic code on line 69, to no avail.

I also can not seem to find a proper older version of bbpress, all the links to older versions are broken….can someone please help either with a fix to the issue, or an older version of bbpress?

Thanks!

Nicole

Import from vBulletin

Published on August 2nd, 2012 by Jeff Hester

This page describing the bbPress core implies that there are notes on how to import from vBulletin, stating:

> Import Forums
>
> Published on July 3rd, 2012 by netweb Supported Platforms bbPress v1.x
> phpBB v.3.x (For Invision or vBulletin see notes below.)

But there are no “notes below” that reference vBulletin. Does bbPress support vBulletin import?

This page on bbpress.org: http://tinypic.com/r/296k9jd/6

How do I recreate that in BBpress 2? My members want to see the posts they started, but can’t without a section like this.

Translation after updating to bbPress 2.1.2

Published on August 2nd, 2012 by JKNN

Hello.

My forum was fine translated to Danish before updating to the latest version of bbPress, 2.1.2. But now I cannot seem to figure out how to do the translation? Do I have to put the .po file elsewhere?

What is exactly the procedure for uploading and changing the language of bbPress? Different topics say different things.

Found the .po file here: https://translate.wordpress.org/projects/bbpress/plugin/da/default

Unread plugin

There is an old and unsupported plugin: BP Unread Posts

Any chance that anyone would update it and make it compatible with BBpress?

Thanks!

Making Backend Profile page same as Frontend one

Published on August 2nd, 2012 by kate.t

Hi there, I managed to create a backend profile page with fields that I want using User Meta Pro plugin, however I would prefer users to be able to edit frontend like for e.g. at ABC.com/users/XYZuser/edit

How do I call the backend profile page to the existing frontend one?
