I can’t figure this out for some reason. Can users register their own accounts through the forum, or do they have to be registered by the administrator of the site?

I started using bbpress for our organisation but i noticed that it’s not possible to post new topics or replies from the front end of the site without bbpress showing the ERROR: Your topic cannot be empty warning.

The topic title stays intact but the message field get’s deleted and users can’t post anything.

On the other hand, admins can freely post via backend and the topics are then visible…could someone please try to help me resolve this issue?

I have installed bbpress forum on my blog www.geekspage.org/ , created new forums and topics. I can view topics and forums, but i cant see forum index page.

I have created a new page with name Forums to see if it works, but it didnot help.

Used the shortcode

it works on other pages but it did not work on Forums page. I have created a test page and used the shortcode it works fine, here is the test page link test. Shortcode didnot work on Forums page, here is the link forums

After installing bbPress, enabling and adding a forum, when I navigate to the page of the forum I get a message ‘Content Not Found’. The same on TwentyEleven theme.

WP version – 3.5.1, latest bbPress http://vegansociety.co.il/

What can I do?

wondering if someone can help me out with the following bbpress query. The tag below when used directs website users to the profile page for wordpress.

My Profile | %admin_url%/profile.php

Does anyone know the tag required to take bbpress forum members to the bbpress profile page where mambers can also see the topics they have started?

Users can create new topics perfectly fine, but when a user replies to that topic after they click the reply link to submit the reply, they are redirected to my 404.php page, yet the reply is submitted perfectly fine.

Is there a setting im not seeing where you specify where users are redirected after reply submission?

The format of the forum is all messed up. Can you help me clean it up?

I created a user-profile.php file in my theme so I could customize its appearance. I want to add a link to the author’s blog posts, but am getting stuck on the loop part. When I tried the standard default wordpress loop – it looped the entire profile itself.

With the current code, I get a 404 not found error.

So in the midst of this change to bbPress, and while I’ve been incredibly impressed, the moderator functions are a bit perplexing.

Problem No 1: Currently, if Moderator ‘A’ deletes a post, it’s viewable to him on the front-end as something that can be restored. However, no other moderator or even Key Master can view this, unless they go in through the back-end and check the Trash. Logically, you would think that if all mods can see this queue on the back-end, it would be visible on the front-end to them as well. If mods take a team approach, as they often do, this would be a must.

But the real problem begins on the back-end, and assuming my bbPress is installed and functioning correctly (I’ve reverted to TwentyTwelve in case it’s a theme problem), posts that sit in the trash cannot be restored. Every time we try to Restore a post from the back-end, we’re met with “Are you sure you want to do this?” and an error occurs.

Problem No. 2: Key Masters can move a post to another forum from the front-end. Moderators cannot move a post from the front-end, but *CAN* move a post from the back-end.

Again, these inconsistencies are perplexing.

Unless, of course, my site is buggy … but like I said, I’ve deactivated all other plug-ins and even switched back to TwentyTwelve and it persists.

Thoughts?
