I’ve been trying to figure this out for several days, but can’t get my head around the error.
Every time I create child forums or categories within a forum, they return 404 errors when clicked on, evern though they’ll display how many topics are inside said forum.
When I convert existing forums to categories, the topics inside don’t show but the page does load.
I’ve searched the BBPress forums for an answer and see several other threads from people having issues with 404s, but no real answers.
Ive gone through the tools > forums and reset everything.
I’m using standard forum permalink settings and nothing is working.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks 🙂

At the moment, I have a standard WordPress search box on the top of my page. It seems to return posts and pages but not bbpress forums or topics.
I can use the bbpress shortcodes to display a forum search but I don’t want two search boxes.
Is there a way to extend the native wordpress search so it returns posts, pages, topics and forums?
At the moment, it seems I can search bbpress OR search wordpress posts / pages. I want to search both?

I found this from an old post
“And for those that just want to hide the code edit your theme css and use this:
.bbp-reply-revision-log {
display: none !important;
}”
But I can’t figure out where to put that code, I have tried bbpress.css file but it didn’t work, can anyone point me in the right direction? Thanks in advance!

Hello,
I am having troubles with the BuddyPress/BBpress login on my forum.
Whenever a user that is not admin, tries to log in, he is being redirected to the homepage. When he returns to the forum, his login session expires.
Please check it here to understand what I mean

You can use this login :
Name : test
Password : test
I got few complaints from the users, and I think its annoying as well to be honest.
So its affecting all users except for the admin.
Any idea how to fix this?

Hello!
Is there a way to hide forum and member activity from Google? Some of my users are getting freaked out that some of their private posts within our community come up in the Google search listings.
Thank you!

Hi!
Logged in users other than a logged in admin are unable to see the forum – they can only see a 404 page. Does anyone have any ideas?
Admins can see the forum fine (and contribute etc) and not logged in visitors can see everything too.
I’ve deactivated all plugins except for bbPress and I’ve also changed themes without success. Any ideas would be really appreciated!
I tried heaps of changes but haven’t been able to sort out my similar problem.
I can access my forum when logged in as the admin, but when someone else is logged in they get a 404. Not logged in users can see the forum.
This means that only the admin and not logged in users can see the forum. Which obviously means that there weren’t be any chatting! Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks so much!

I’m a coding novice & tried the Content Aware Sidebars plugin…but I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong since I still can’t see the sidebars in any of the topics.
Thanks in advanced for the help! 🙂

Hi
I am having trouble finding a way to make every user/member have a unique name.
Right now anybody could use the same name.
Cheers

Hi. Im trying to build a completely private forum, view and write privileges. Essentially I want the forum to be hidden unless you know where it is.
My question is:
If I create a private forum or category, do all the forums/topics underneath have to be set to private as well? Because this forum will be used to discuss techniques and other business related topics, I don’t want anyone to be able to find the forums/topics/replies though search engines or via URL unless they are logged in. Am I going over board by setting every single section to private?
Thanks in advance for any help on this.
