I’ve just discovered my bbpress Participants are unable to edit their own posts.
Anyone any ideas as to why?
Also, I can’t for the life of me find where I change a bbpress users role to change them to a mod etc. It’s not an option in the wordpress edit user profile section. Could someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction?
I’ve been looking for a forum for my WordPress site, and everyone keeps pointing me back to bbPress. Problem is, I absolutely hate the way it looks. Mentally, I find it confusing to find and read messages. Is there a supported plugin that will make bbPress look like more traditional forums?

I have an existing comments page at the bottom of an existing page that I have been using for a couple of years. The url is http://tenniselbowracquet.com/tennis-racquets/
The comments are not organized the way I would like them to be. I would like them organized more like this http://tt.tennis-warehouse.com/forumdisplay.php?f=9
Also once I am able to create the new format what can I do to incorporate the existing comments which never had a topic – I would like to place them all into a general topic such as Tennis Racquets. Would I need to create a new forum tab or could I keep the comments where they are at the bottom of the tennis racquet page.

There is an issue that I been encountering on my website while posting on facebook. It doesn’t show the image when I post on FB, but when I use the Facebook Debugger and scrape new info through it, then it works fine. I am not sure why it’s acting like that.
I do have some plugins that might be causing the issue. I have Shareaholic Share but I deactivated the Meta Tags under that and then I have Facebook OGP, WordPress SEO
Is there a way to have a better link posting on facebook or any social site without having that issue? Or some code that will work perfect without plugins or anything?

I am a complete beginner and have just created http://careerkokusai.com/ using WP3.9.2. and BBP2.5.4. with 2011 theme.
Though I managed to put “Forum” on the menu (in Japanese !, 4th from the left), there is no link at all. I have created one test forum and a topic but it is nowhere to be seen !

I intend to use a premium theme for the Blog section of my site while I want the bbpress forum in /discuss slug to have a basic theme (preferably Twenty Twelve, as the default themes are best compatible with bbpress). Is that possible by any hacks or plugins?
I guess I could install a different installation (standalone bbpress or as a plugin) in a /discuss directory but I’m afraid at one point the permalinks to the two different sites may be too complicated to handle. Simply put, I don’t like the idea. So I’m hoping this is possible for bbpress [installed as a plugin on the main site] to have a theme of its own other than the one being used on the site.
Please let me know if it’s possible or if there’s any workaround to do what I want.

I’ve seen quiet a few threads posting about this problem going back years, but it doesn’t look like it’s ever been resolved.
I have also run Remapping forum role for each user, without any joy.
Also, I have changed the theme to 2014, and deactivated all other plugins.
How can I enable people to post on the forum with out the need for manual review?
