In reply to: Kineda.comIt’s a custom plugin. If anyone is interested, let me know. I may be placing it up for sale.

In reply to: Kineda.comThanks necati. Glad you like it.
I actually only run 1 adsense unit (and even that’s not directly through Google. It’s through a special deal I have with Glam Media).
The 3 graphical banners you see are not provided by Google.

Be sure your cookie settings match in your config files.
In reply to: bbPress 0.9.0.2 + WordPress 2.5.1 cookie conflict?I discovered for it to work that the secret keys cannot have spaces in them (as you could in version 2.5 of wordpress and 0.9.0.1 of bbpress). I generated a new secret key as one long string, and voila… users can pass through both programs without having to re-login.
In reply to: bbPress 0.9.0.2 + WordPress 2.5.1 cookie conflict?I saw your thread. It wasn’t a solution for me…
I’ve defined both SECRET_KEY in wp-config and bb-config as the same, as well as pulling in the new “secret” from the wordpress options page into bb-admin config panel.
Still having the same issues of not being able to be logged into both at the same time.
Sorry, but that didn’t fix my problem. I’ve defined both SECRET_KEY in wp-config and bb-config as the same, as well as pulling in the new “secret” from the wordpress options page into bb-admin config panel.
Still having the same issues of not being able to be logged into both at the same time.
In reply to: bbPress 0.9.0.2 + WordPress 2.5.1 cookie conflict?I updated the secret key, but I’m still having the same problem as described above.
In reply to: Troubleshoot integrationI tried keying in the new secret key from WordPress 2.5.1 into the bb-admin panel, but it’s still not making a difference. Users can only be logged into one or the other at a time.
In reply to: 9rules.comClips is sweet. I might just have to drum up a nice variation of it for Kineda.
In reply to: Kineda ForumsVery flexible. It’s all a matter of styling.

In reply to: get_topic_author() but how to get it’s profile link?Can you post how you fixed it?

In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integratethanks… I’ll go ahead and do that.
In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateI guess they’re supposed to be in the same db.. DOH!?!
“Setting $bb->wp_table_prefix in bbPress’s config.php will tell bbPress to grab users and user meta data from those WordPress tables (in the same database as your bbPress tables).”
They need to make this a bit more clear for folks that are trying to integrate the two. If you’re installing bbPress without going to the integration instructions first, you’ll have to restart the entire process.
bbolman – is what I’m saying correct? if so, I’ll start the re-install. thanks.
In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateNo, they each have their own database. Was bbPress supposed to be installed in the same database as WordPress?
In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateThere’s only 1 user in bbPress (admin account/keymaster)
There are thousands of users registered on my WordPress blog, http://www.kineda.com.
None of the registered users from WordPress are showing up in bbPress.
It seems as if the wordpress-integration plugin in the /my-plugins/ folder isn’t doing it’s job. Is there a way to check if it’s running?
In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateIn reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateYes, I have. As stated above, I added the wordpress plugin and activated it in the plugin control panel on WordPress. Then set the table structure to “bb_”
I then uploaded the wordpress-integration plugin into the /my-plugins/ folder.
So both plugins have been added.
In reply to: Can’t get WordPress and bbPress to integrateI added the two lines to the top of the file:
define(‘WP_BB’, true);
require_once( ‘/httpdocs/wp-config.php’);
Still only 1 user showing in the wp_users table.
