In reply to: Adding to the allowed tags in KSES
This allows the admin to post anything: maybe looking at it would be useful:
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/admin-can-post-anything/
Also, if you’re just interested in allowing video, this works fine:

Users don’t even need to paste the embed code, just the URL to the video.
In reply to: Losing keymaster when mereging bbP into WP1. What versions did you integrate? If you integrated 0.9.0.4 with WordPress 2.7.1 or similar, the logins won’t work. You need one of these two solutions:
http://superann.com/2009/02/26/wordpress-26-27-bbpress-09-cookie-integration-plugin/
https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/freshly-baked-cookies/
If your keymaster just lost permissions, you might be able to use this plugin to restore them.

In reply to: New Alpha VersionIt’s not advisable to use on a live site, and I think avatars are built in to 1.0. Try a test installation and see how it works for you.
In reply to: phpbb3 -> bbpress converterAre you using bb_ as your bbPress table prefix? Maybe the bb_ table prefix is hard coded and it does not match up with your installation.
In reply to: Installing Plug In’s for BBpressIf you don’t have access to the bbPress admin, or you can’t see the plugins link once you’re in the admin, it’s possible you’re not the keymaster.
@demonicrock – what version of bbPress and WordPress did you install?
In reply to: Display bbpress on wordpress page (inside the blog)@adeboy – I know how to create a page with an iframe, I just wanted to see your bbPress installation inside a WordPress page, in an iframe. When it’s ready, please post the link to it. Thanks.
In reply to: Display bbpress on wordpress page (inside the blog)@adeboy: can you post the URL to your forum? I had heard in the past that the iframe idea wouldn’t work, so if it does it would love to see it. Thanks.
To answer your last two questions: you need to edit the header.php file in your template folder.
In reply to: User can’t receive email after registrationSo, did you just paste the plain text password into the database field? That won’t work. You need to encrypt it first. Here is the encrypted version of the password password for a 0.9.0.4 installation:
$P$BYmd6QuCKHVKv5Hm0igW8A/bSHSbWt/
If you paste that into the user_pass field of the bb_users table, you should be able to log in with your username and a password of password. Then, change your password.
In reply to: User can’t receive email after registrationThe password in the database is encrypted. So, if you just pasted the plain text into the password field in the database, it won’t work.
What version of bbPress are you using, and are you integrated with WordPress?
In reply to: Avatar Upload Admin Panel MissingWhich avatar plugin are you using, and what version of bbPress did you install?
In reply to: User can’t receive email after registrationWhat sort of server are you on? Can any other applications send email from there?
To avoid the problems with the email for now, you could install the instant password plugin:
In reply to: Translations not running goodThe program you need is poedit. http://www.poedit.net/
WordPress has pretty good instructions for doing it, and the process is similar with bbPress:
In reply to: Initial install, first login, no joy.@toregustafson – can you start a new topic please and just describe your problem there from the beginning? Thanks
In reply to: can’t log in anymore@matiaspunx: what version did you integrate? The cookies are not compatible with the 0.9.0.4 version of bbPress and WordPress versions greater than 2.5 (like the latest 2.7.1 version.)
Also, did you try clearing all the cookies or using a different browser to log in?
These two solutions exist for making logins compatible with WordPress latest and bbPress 0.9.0.4:
In reply to: “Registration closed”That sounds like something printed by the refresh theme. I can’t seem to find a copy of that theme online anywhere. Can you look through the theme files for that language?
Also, what version of bbPress did you install with WordPress 2.7.1?
In reply to: Plugin: Avatar UploadI’ve never used the plugin, sorry.
In reply to: What is what? One of these two solutions will allow you to integrate the versions you installed:
In reply to: Plugin: Avatar UploadTake a look at the
unsharpmask.php
file and see if you have a space on line one before the<?php.
I just downloaded a copy of it and the first line looks like this:<?php
^ space there
There can’t be any whitespace before the opening <?php. See if your file has whitespace there and if so, delete it so the first character in the file is <.
In reply to: Problem with DB – table usersSounds like the import did not go very well. Do you have something like phpMyAdmin to look at the users table? Maybe the users didn’t get imported at all, or maybe there’s something simple wrong with the records.
In reply to: Headers already sent with avatar upload pluginCross posted here:
In reply to: What is what?Regarding blog address and WordPress address, you can get those in your WordPress admin. They’re generally the same, but not always. It pays to check. It’s located here, but on your domain:

In reply to: What is what?Sounds like you’re integrate incompatible versions. What versions of bbPress and WordPress are you trying to install?
