Is there a way of making the topic and reply edit boxes visual editor similar like the one in WP posts rather than html? I’m using a Genesis child theme with the BBPress extend for genesis – both current versions and I’m hoping there is a simple setting I’ve missed. Not very confident with php so if this is required to make the change then I would appreciate step by step instructions. The site is still under development so no url provided.

Good day bbPress. Newbie here…
ROLES
I want to edit the name of this role
*Keymaster to *Administrator
*Participant to “Ranks by Posts”
I want to add this roles
*Staff Leader same as admins capabilities
*VIP, Donator, etc… in Participants capabilities but excluded in ranks by post
RANKS BY POST
20 Post = Trainee
40 Post = Private
80 Post = PFC
160 Post = Corporal and so on…
//that when bbPress updates, all of this will not be gone and will be shown at BuddyPress Profile as well. Hope you’ll help me and I’m willing to do/learn some coding. Please!
How do I get my forum to look like yours:
default isn’t clear where writing box is, has extra stuff at top like navigation and ‘this forum contains’, has topic type, etc.
Thanks,
Sam
As far as I know bbpress can work with the widely recommended Akismet plugin. Is there a good profanity filter plugin that would work with bbpress?
Many thanks.
Stuck @ 80%
Hi all,
I’am converting a phpbb forum. I tweaked my php.ini apache settings allready but it keeps getting stuck.
Is there a way to start over where it’s left. Or to speed up the proces….
I importing the forum into a clean wordpress website,

BBPress Version: 2.3.3
WordPress Version: 4.3.1
www.flasco.org
The forums are completely private from public view via a membership plugin (WPMUDEV Membership2). However, every time anyone (members) posts into the BBP forums, everything is going to spam. None of it is actually spam though.
Any idea of why everything would be going to spam?
I deactivated all plugins related to BBBPress, but that didn’t remedy anything either ..
I was able to successfully import my small Simple:Press forum and run the repair tool. However, when I go to a topic that says it has 9 topics and 10 replies, I get a message that says “Oh bother! No topics were found here!”

Hi,
I did a testinstall and imported my phpbb forum. I have since made some theme modifications.
Now I want to go live but need to re import all the topics. How do I clean up my current installation?
I’m going to build a sports fan site which will have a discussion group/forum area. I’ve got pretty deep WP experience on the admin side, and have written my own themes and plugins in the past in PHP.
I’m trying to grasp the structure and flow of bbPress. I installed it on a dev server and have been playing around and still not really sure how it is supposed to work. It’s not terribly intuitive to me.
I create a forum, but it is inside the “forums” so my ugly url is mysite.com/forums/forum/forumname. That’s kind of poo, but fine. After I create the forum I see nowhere to create a new post in the front end. So I create a topic in the back end and try to attach it to a forum, but it will only attach to certain forums and not others. Haven’t figured that out yet.
How do I simply have one forum with sub topics like this:
Sports
–Football
—football posts go in here
–Baseball
—baseball posts go in here
–Basketball
—basketball posts go in here
Any input would be great.
Hi support,
I would like to add a banner design to the bottom of my topics and replies pages, but I’m not sure how I do this? What WordPress page do I use?
I am using Visual Composer.

I have done this with the main forum index page using the shortcode:
http://sincebeingsingle.com/insight/
Any help would be great!
Thanks,
Kam
