Is there a way to highlight the search term in search results?

After a fair bit of time tweaking the forum design and layout, it’s now “good enough”.

I struggled with features like Last Post, “NEW” dynamic icons on replies/new posts, Image icons for forums, and general formatting, but got there in the end with the help of Robin W and the community.

News articles have their comments posted into the forum too, which are then filtered out from sites Forum Activity widget.

This is probably due to my theme, but the default install of the forum at the url /forums displays the forum on a page with the title “Archives” and the layout is broken, ugly, full width etc.

Following another suggestion on this forum, I created a forum holding page at the url /forum and used the shortcode

However, when any forum link is clicked, you’re taken to a page with the starting slug of /forums and the ugly layout again. How do I keep the forum within the nice page layout?

In the Settings I have:

Forum root: forums
Forum prefix: unchecked
Forum root should show: Forum Index
Single forum slugs / Forum: forum

If I change the forum root to /forum that overrides the custom page I set up and I’m back to the ugly layout again.

What’s the best way around this?

I am part of a group of people in the beginning stages of forming a new non-profit organization.

I am about to create a website for the group (wordpress) as well as a forum, but I don’t want all of the people who have access to the forum to also have access to the website itself. My preference for the 2 sites is

Main website: https://siteurl.org/ (and https://www.siteurl.org/)
Forum: https://forum.siteurl.org/

I have full access to the cPanel for the hosting location. Do I need to just create a seperate folder in the home directory called “forum” and do a separate install of WordPress there (assuming of course that the main website will be installed in the .public_html directory)?

I have a fully functioning website build with WPLMS. But for a while now I can’t seem to get all my created forums on my central page. I even deactivated all plugins and ran the main theme (no childtheme) and still this issue occurs. See video

Hello, at bbPress, the search bar only appears on the general page: forums and search for what you are looking for does not return anything. How to add a search bar within a forum, and how to make the search bar work at least on the general page? Thank you

I have created a forums page using bbpress, and linked it to my main header menu. Below is the page

I am not sure why the forum page is starting at almost middle of this page. What should I do to make it appear just below the header. I am noob at wordpress and bbpress so please bear with me. My theme is Impreza wordpress theme.

We’re using bbpress plugin along with youzer. The section ‘Groups’ I want to replace with ‘Rides’ As I am developing Riders Community using bbpress.
Also the Create Group, Join Group, Exit Group button text want to change to Ride related titles.
