Hi everyone…
My forum is still very small, and in order to encourage engagement, I am currently allowing guest visitors to post reply.
But I want to ensure the forum is kept organized. So my question is;
1. How do I hide the reply button that shows below other replies.
2. How do I enable quote button for guest visitors. Quote button shows only for login visitors, so I want to enable it for guest/none logged-in visitors too.
Thanks
Steve
Hi,
My issue is that when I add the forum root at the forum settings, the page displays the following error in the header and the footer of the page:
Notice: Undefined property: WP_Post_Type::$post_type in /home1/smilingsun/public_html/vanlifemagazine.co/wp-content/plugins/td-composer/includes/shortcodes/vc_row.php on line 415
The page is at:
Vanlife Community Forum
The theme I’m currently using is Newspaper by TagDiv.
Many thanks,
Francesco
I have few writers with wp roles of author on the website and the bbpress forum role is participant.
I want the writers to get similar wp author kinds of rights on the forum but they cannot see, edit and delete others forum topics.
Basically I want the Topics option in the WP dashboard sidebar to be shown for bbpress participants.
I followed few of the existing discussions on the forum with similar requirements but none of them worked for me.
Remove Settings Capability for Editors
Allow members to trash their own topics based on edit time
I would really appreciate it if someone can suggest a solution for my case.
hi,
1- I’d like to know if i could create a situation that each new topic that a user open goes to the forum administrator first and he decides whether to answer as a private answer to the user or to answer it as something general that all users can see and answer.
2- In case it is possible to reply privately to the user Is it possible to reply privately in the forum itself or will it have to be via email?
3- Can I create several forums of different topics on one site?
Since my most recent update of WordPress, I’ve had an issue with new users being able to post replies despite their status being “awaiting email confirmation”. As you can imagine, this had led to an influx of spam messages on the site.
I’m assuming that as part of the update, some setting was changed to turn this on be default, but i have no idea how to turn it back off. Could anyone advise me?
Currently using WordPress 5.3.2 running Twenty Seventeen theme using Version 2.6.4 at http://wamlibrary.com/forums/
I have searched online for days and I have not found how to make profile fields mandatory/required by users so that if they don’t complete those fields they cannot use the forum.
I’m sure there are code ninjas out there that have done this in their sleep or just know how to do it, so can you please the code and where to find/replace them?
Thank you so much.
JD
– If I have my way, I’d rather not have yet another plugin installed for this. Thanks.
Is it possible to apply the post moderation just to certain flagged users?
I see that this is possible by keywords:
Moderation and BlackListing
But cannot find any specific info regarding users.
Hi,
My forum stat widget looks like this: https://www.dailyenglishtests.com/forums/
