Hi,

I installed BBpress today as well as someone else, on the same server though (in case that’s the problem). This person couldn’t make the admin password to work, although mine worked like a charm.

I tried to reset the password and was prompted with the message saying

An email has been sent to the address we have on file for you…

But neither I or the other person (who complained it wasn’t working at first) did receive the mail.

I wonder if this wouldn’t be a bug of the latest 0.8.1 version ?

Anyone has a fix ?

I discovered that bbpress.png located in the bb-images directory was corrupted somehow on the fresh archive I downloaded from here.

Eventhough it was present on the directory, it would refuse to show up on the various webpages. Even a direct link would cause a 404 error (!?).

I downloaded it from https://bbpress.org/bbpress.png and got it to work this time.

I can’t get ANY theme to load in Firefox on my forums. Kakumei works in IE7 but i don’t like how it looks. Why won’t it work in Firefox?

In Firefox I get a totally unformatted version of the forum.

I seem to have stumbled on another oddity I can’t solve…my user registration times are based on GMT, not on Pacific time as I have configured in the bbpress config.php file, as well as the wp Admin->Options page. I have added the following php script to a page to detect the server time.

<? print date("F d, Y H:i:s", time())?>

The time returned is the correct (Pacific) time, (-8 GMT). Any suggestions where else I can look, what else to try?

I had a topic that I posted about my users registration time being off by 8 hours, making it equal to GMT. The post I had made earlier today is now gone. Either I have used offensive language, enough to get my post deleted, (I have heard that GMT is a swear word in some country, can’t remember which at the moment…), or it was accidentally/bugzadentally erased? Like, automagically? Any input? Did I miss my answer?

Just a note – the plugins database at bbpress.org/plugins seems to be offline. Leastwise, I can’t get to it to look at or download any plugins. I keep getting an error:

Cannot select DB

Just thought I’d make mention of this so someone can fix it. It’s been offline for most of the day.

When a user wants to register I have this:

bb_get_user needs a numeric ID

in the html view of source the last thing is </fieldset> …

Can someone help me find out what this is?

Hi! i have successfully installed bbress to my site integrated with wordpress. Now, i have another question? can we make it possible to make the forums(the entire bbrepss forums) exclusive only for members? what do i need to do? thanx!

I have bbpress and wordpress running independently on the same domain but am having some encoding problems with bbpress that I didnt have on my local server.

I am sharing some of the same header information between my bbpress install and my wp theme, but I don’t know enough about encoding to know if that’s the problem.
