In order to end some unruly discussions at the blog, I’d love to have a one-click solution for moving the offending comments to the forum.
Ideally, I’d create a “Blog discussion” forum in bbpress. Then, each post in the blog automatically creates a topic in that forum (no need to copy the post to the forum, just name the topic after the post). Then, in wp admin panel (Comments section) each comment has an option “Move to the forum”. So blog admin can easily move the irrelevant comments to appropriate topic in the forum.

Wanted to share our new forums using bbPress:
http://www.touchtip.com/forums/ – The site is about all things iPhone and iPod touch and a forum was a natural addition to our WordPress-based site.
bbPress was a pleasure to work with and configure. I have had a long, love-hate history with bb software (worked at ezboard during their glory days) and I think bbPress is where it’s at. Love the low bloat factor, simplicity and the focus on content. Nice to see the bbs advance in this way.
Thanks for bbPress and keep up the good work!

Hey folks
I’ve been trying to install bbpress and after six full attempts (including fresh db’s) I’ve given up. Every time I install it goes into a loop where I login and it takes me right back to the login page. There is no dashboard in site.
I haven’t used any customizations and I don’t have wp running on the same db or site. I just install as described with the config.php filled in up to the email.
There doesn’t seem to be any documentation that covers this, and I’ve installed WordPress many times (on other sites) with no problems. I’m using GoDaddy and I’ve tried 4.1 and 5.0 and I’ve tried deleting cookies and downloading both the zip and the tar.gz versions of 0.8.3 in case there was a problem with your file but I always end up with the same result.
I expect I’ll be moving on to a different forum package but you may want to cover this in your instructions, could there be a issue with GoDaddy or with permissions?

Is it possible (or would someone consider writing a plugin) to restrict each moderator to a specific forum? That is, each moderator is responsible for his own forum, and cannot mess with others’ forums.

I am getting a new error: Cannot select DB.
My forums were set up and working at www.snownation.com/forums/
All of the sudden, now I am getting this error. I have checked the DB settings like 10 times. You will notice on my frontpage at snownation.com the latest discussions pluggin is still pulling info and it has the same login info as does my wordpress setup.
Any ideas???

Hello Everybody,
Firstly, thank you all for those great free Blog and Forum you created. It’s just wonderfull, kinda think that it just couldnt be more what I was looking forward for.
During the installation I had the “mysql->i<-_get_server_info()” problem and followings that I could fix easily with the #745 patch.
But, this would have been such a beautifull story … ;P Has the DB error disapeared, all my Japanese texts transformed to “日本語”. Before the #745 patch, I am sure it was working (actually that was the first thing I checked after having it installed cause all my forum is gonna be in Japanese).
I have to mention that I only installed the genuine thing, I did not install any pluging for Japanese or such.
Could you be so kind to help me fixing this character problem please?
Thanks
Lui

Hey.
I just wanted to delete one of my forums + 2 subforums. But it only deleted the (main)forum and not the subforums. The weird thing is that I can still access the subforums, but they don’t show in the admin section anymore. I used phpmyadmin to delete them out of the database.
But I thought you might want to check that out in case its a bug.

How can I get the front page “super_stickies” to show up on each of the forums pages?
