I’ve got a fresh install of the latest versions. Have config’d both config.php files to match. This is on 1and1.
I was able to login to WP just fine, but as I installed BB, WP tells me ‘You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.’ when logging in with admin account.
I installed BB on same DB as WP.
BB works fine.
I’ve tried resetting the password on WP, same result.
Any input would be appreciated. thanks!
Recently installed bbpress 1.0.2 and avatar upload 0.8.3
Followed the inst. instruction as follows :
5 Upload the files in the “additional-files” directory to the following locations.
avatars/ – directory to the location specified on the admin page, rename if neccesary
admim page: /avatars/ so I created avatars dir. on bbpress root,writable DONE
avatars/default.png – default avatar image into the directory created above.
DONE
avatar-upload.php – bbPress root directory.
MOVED bb-avatar-upload.php T ROOT DIRECTORY
my-templates/avatar.php – your my-templates/my-template-name/ (or bb-templates/kakumei/) directory.
MOVED TO bb-templates/kakumei/ DONE
Upload the plugin files.
bb-avatar-upload.php – your my-plugins/ directory (and activate it).
DONE
identicon.php – your my-plugins/ directory (it is automatically included).
EXISTS
unsharpmask.php – your my-plugins/ directory (it is automatically included).
EXISTS
I dont see the avatar load button on the profile.
I’m confused, is the filename bb-avatar-upload.php or avatar-upload.php ?
What am I doing wrong ? ( a novice admin )
Newly installed, bbpress (1.0) and bbcode buttons (0.0.9) plugin and I se the buttons in the reply box. When I press IMG I’m able to enter the image url.
When I press ‘send post’ then what I see is this :
Consequently no image displayed.
What is wrong ? Does it support bbpress 1.0.2
I’d like to be able to include YouTube video embeds into user and admin posts – is there any way to do this?

I used to have bbpress a couple of years ago and I’m thinking about using it again, especially once the bbpress plugin is finished. Before I consider bbpress again I need to know if the system allows anonymous/guest posting and also if you can make it so that all posts must be approved before they go live on the site? Again, I have used bbpress but I don’t remember if it has this functionality or not. I’m almost positive that it does not come with anonymous/guest posting (maybe there is a plugin?), but I’m thinking it might come with the approve before posting type option…
Basically I’m wanting to allow people to post discussions without registering. Since they won’t have to register, I’ll need to approve each post to ensure junk/spam isn’t being posted.
How do I ad a link back my main WordPress page?
I want it at the top to the right of the login link.
Any ideas?

I get this same message i nthe following places:
1) Clicking admin
2) Trying to delete a topic

I just uploaded the files to my godaddy hosting account in the root directory and i’m at my domain, palmpaduser.com but i can’t seem to get past step 1. Anyone able to help me? It would be much appreciated.

I am hoping someone can help me with a couple of questions. I have buddypress and an installation of bbpress hooked up:
1.) how do you hide subforums on main page?
2.) how can i select under which forum or subforum “groups” and their discussions will be displayed?

2.) why is there no plugin in plugin directory of wordpress?
3.) if i want to have old style bbpress on my site – without groups do i need to install bbpress in addition to buddyperss.
4.) why did they change the design of bbpress and make it look like buddypress?? I think someone with better eyesight then old bbpress designers is making this and buddypress.
