I and Ben L. recently released a bbPress standalone to plugin converter (bbS2P) to help you out with importing. But now, that has been deprecated as most of the code that was in there has been ported into the bbPress plugin itself.
Got some hint? (I think) You’re right! You can now convert your bbPress standalone install into the bbPress plugin from right inside the bbPress plugin itself! Just have the bbPress plugin activated, go to Tools -> Import -> bbPress Standalone and follow on-screen instructions.
Note: It is highly recommended that you have a backup of your whole database before doing this.

Does this integrate with BuddyPress?
bbPress 2.0 integrates with BuddyPress activity streams, profile links, and avatars. bbPress 2.0 does not yet integrate with Groups, but it also will not conflict with them. This means there are no code conflicts or errors by leaving both activated.

Where is the documentation?
In the code itself right now. There’s not a lot of sense in creating documentation for pre-release software, as anything is subject to change. There will be a bbPress codex coming soon after release, so sit tight.
Why can my admin post videos, and normal users can’t?
Admin accounts in WordPress are granted a specific capability that enables them to post any kind of content they choose. Normal users do not have this ability, and are restricted to a specific set of HTML tags.
What is happening to bbPress 1.x?
It will continue to be maintained into the foreseeable future but is feature frozen, meaning no new features will get put in.
Can the bbPress Plugin 2.0 Beta be installed without WordPress?
No. bbPress 2.0 is strictly a plugin for WordPress.
How can I set which users can do what things?
You’ll want to use existing WordPress plugins if you want to customize the capabilities of your users. Start with Members or User Role Editor but be careful! It’s possible to lock yourself out of your site if you remove your own capabilities, so don’t fuss about if you’re not sure what you’re doing.

I have just successfully dabbled with BBPress and installed with my WordPress install. Yippee!
What I really need is the right plugin that not only notifies any forum admins that a new post has been lodged, but will also notify the member who lodged the post when his post has had a reply.
I have tried a few out there and I cant seem to find one that does both of these functions which seem like a pretty basic design feature IMHO.

this is the error given everywhere when i try to install the bbpress installation on the new wampserver with php5.
Please tell me what to do to install it on my localhost server.
So I was editing the appearance settings, and changed the website or link info(? I forget now since I can’t see it). What I think I did was change the link from my forum to instead take me to my website’s homepage. Anyway, when I clicked save, all hell broke loose:

I have no way of getting back into admin or whatever I need to do to change this. My forums are already setup with some posts, and I’m trying hard not to have to reset anything.

Hi All,
I’ve recently added some forums to my site and although they look good I’m unable to resize the forum listing and as such the forum listing collides with the side bar and looks awful

I have a ‘Forums’ page set up using the bbpress forum index page template.
Can anyone let me know how to resolve this as the site will be going officially live in a few days.

I recently installed bbPress onto my WP/BP site however I am constantly getting the following error when I visit the site (http://forum.cgstudent.co.uk);

Every error I’m getting seems to be linked to a complete absence of a file called bb-config-path.php. Where can I get this from or can I create one myself, and if I do create it myself what do I fill it with?
I’ve seen threads about this topic, but none that seem to come to any conclusion.
I’m not a programmer by any stretch, so try not to get too technical on me (please).
I done the “deep integration” thing. Mapped user roles, enter the auth keys and salts, etc.
For some reason, when I log into WP, I am not also automatically logged into the (allegedly) “deeply integrated” bbPress forum.
I am hosted by Network Solutions, and I have two different DB’s on two different servers with them. One DB is the WP installation and the other DB is the bbPress forum.
I’ve told the config files where each of the servers/DB’s are and that part seems okay, but it won’t log in to bbPress automatically.
Any brilliant ideas?

I want to make it work both my wordpress blog and bbpress should 1 login with facebook connect.
I just trying with this way:
In wordpress plugin I installed Facebook Connect: https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-facebook-connect/
In bbpress plugin I installed Simple Facebook Connect: https://bbpress.org/plugins/topic/simple-facebook-connect/
I have read the readme Installation guide, and install it without any error notice.
In my wordpress blog it works well. But not in my bbpress.
If I’m connected as facebook user in wordpress, in bbpress I should click Facebook connect, and the result is:
Error: an user account with the email address ’email @ address’ already exists.
Note: email @ address is a valid email, I just didn’t want to show it here.
More Info: I’m using database integration for wordpress and bbpress, so it is in the same database name access.
So, what should I do?
Which is the best solution for this issue?
