Hi all,

All my text on my forum is aligned to the centre. Is there anyway to get it aligned left?

Published on July 10th, 2011 by grt

Hi all,

I have just set up bbpress 2.0 as a plug in to my WordPress website and it is working great.

However, I can’s seem to work out how a user (other than me) can register and log in to start a topic or reply to a post….

Can anyone help?

Many thanks,

Glyn

Breadacrumbs

Published on July 10th, 2011 by grt

Hi,

I have managed to set bbpress up but it automatically places breadcrumbs on the page which are not correct.

the breadcrumb should show:

Home > forum

Instead it shows:

Cheap Benidorm hotels and apartments > forums > forum

Can the breadcrumbs be corrected or disabled?

Thanks,

Glyn

BBpress and Studiopress (Genesis)–Can Someone Please Tell Me If This Works?

Published on July 10th, 2011 by benniebob

I have wordpress, and I use the genesis (studiopress) framework. I REALLY like the look and feel of BBpress, but I was playing around with it and I noticed that it said “Theme does not support bbpress” or something like that on the admin page.

My question is this: Does the Genesis connect plugin fix this? Or is there special coding needed to make genesis (or a child theme) work with the BBpress platform?

I really wanted to keep my blog design the same, and BBpress would allow me to do this nicely, while adding an elegant (and simplistic) way for people to discuss topics.

Thanks!

Post hidden (not showing) and "yellowed out"

Published on July 10th, 2011 by braenz

Why would a post not show up in the forum? Besides the topic it has “22 posts + 3 more”.

When I click on the “3 more” it shows me the posts that are not showing, but they have been yellowed out. I take it that they’re being moderated – but by who?

Also, how does one approve of these posts that are apparently being moderated. We’re using bbPress 1.0.2 (www.monarch.org.nz).

Thanks for your help in advance.

PLugins V1 vs. PLugins V2

Published on July 9th, 2011 by m-jay

Hi everyone

I think it is very confusing when trying to identify which bbpress plugins are for bbpress 1.x and which are for the new bbpress 2.x …

Is there a place where we can find plugins ONLY for bbpress 2 ?

Thank you

Navigation links don't work

Published on July 9th, 2011 by macmullet

I converted from standalone BBPress to BBPress 2.0 as a plugin and made a page with the forum topics as my home page. None of the paging links at the top of the page work. Click any number and it only pulls back the first page.

http://jawsmovie.com/?paged=2

is the same as

http://jawsmovie.com/?paged=54

etc.

I tried changing permalinks and if I do anything other than the default setting, I get 404 errors.

Any ideas?

Looking for BBPress 2.0 Function Reference

Published on July 9th, 2011 by Linesh Jose

Hi,

I’m not expert in BBPress. I like to build my new forum in BBPrss 2.0. In BBPrees 2.0, the functions are different from BBPrees 1X. Where I can find the function references like https://codex.wordpress.org/

Please give me the link.

viewing new topics trouble

New here!

I got all the way through installation last week and testing of bbpress within a protected WordPress site, and love the forum – I so appreciate the simplicity and ease of the thing, esp. for someone who has little experience with this sort of thing.

My only issue at this point is that once anyone is logged in and posts a reply or new topic, the updated reply/topic displays fine UNTIL returning to the main forum page at which point it is necessary to log out and then log back in to actually see the updates. Again, I’m so pleased with the forum itself, but this may be the thing that keeps my boss from letting the forum go live :-(

WP version is 3.1.4 and I’m using the forum as my home page of the blog. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thanks so much!
