Hi, since the 3.5 update i have lost an image on my wordpress/buddypress site. The site is www.releasethereal.com
Originally my logo would appear on the top left of my header, please see this support post on how i did it: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/link-header-to-homepage?replies=20
How can i get this image to display again?
So my bbPress forum worked fine for a few months. I can’t remember if I updated anything but since a few weeks it doesn’t work anymore.
The problem is, that it doesn’t show the content of the forums. There’s the heading of the forum but nothing else. Here’s how it looks like:
http://bookish.brokenstars.de/forums/
http://bookish.brokenstars.de/forums/forum/bookish-intern/
http://bookish.brokenstars.de/intern/ (normal site with shortcode)
I’m using WordPress 3.5 and bbPress 2.2.3
Nothing seems to help. I’ve repaired and reset all the forums. I’ve deleted the plugin and the data from the database. I’ve reset the permalink structure… but it just doesn’t show up anymore.
Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be?
Thanks!
Is there a way to shorten posts, such as adding a \”read more\” link or \”continued\” option?
I have a forum that encourages lengthy posts, but I don\’t want the posts to stretch too far down the page.
I go through the standard plugin search, installation and activation sequence… only to have my entire wordpress site not display at all afterwards. After pressing the “activation” link for bbpress I get forwarded to the “about” page and it displays a blank page… no admin tool bar, nothing… just white. Same goes for the root of my wordpress site. I remove the bbpress folder from wp-content>plugins and the entire site re-appears.
any thoughts?
I am very new to WordPress/bbPress and am teaching myself through forum posts. I am stuck right now and have searched but cannot find a clear answer to this problem.
I have created several forums here:
However, I can’t figure out why the archive page displays in two columns, while the actual forum pages display in one column, which is what I want.
Thank you for your help!
Tried to import from my current vBulletin 4.2 to bbPress 2.2.3 using the bbPress import function, all forum, topic and replies were migrated correctly however the users we not migrated and are under the admin account, I tried it twice and made sure I checked the convert users. Not too sure what I did wrong.
I also have buddypress installed as well if that matters.
For some reason the title of the topic and forum I am in appears at the very top of my screen each time I am on a forum page or topic page.
I don’t see this on other BB Press forums. How can I remove these. These are not the normal breadcrumbs, these are an unsightly line of black text that show up ABOVE the header!
P.S. I have no header widgets set.
i accidently removed config-bbpress folder in cpanel… how do i recover it back?

Hy everyone,
first of all, thank you guys for this awesome forum plugin 🙂 I’ve used it for about few months now, and I hadn’t any problems with it. I use it for my support/forum page on my site.
Here is what I’ve done: I’ve tried to make my own community site, found out about the buddypress plugin, installed it and voila 🙂 it works.
Now here is the thing, is it possible to integrate the same structure of my old existing forum (with all the topics, replies, attachments) into the one group that I created recently ??
I wont it to be, something like – one group has it’s own forum, and if it’s a closed membership group, than you don’t have access to the forum at all.
I have a huge list of topics, and posts, attachments that I would like to integrate into one group, and for the all other groups, I would like to have the same possibility for them too.
Is something like that possible ?? is there a plugin to do this, or an addon for the bbpress/buddypress plugin, maybe ?
I’m sorry if I’ve made a mistake for posting this thread here.
Thanks in advance for any kind of help.
Regards
