Hoping you can help; running WordPress 3.5.1 with Buddypress 1.7.1 and bbPress 2.3.2
I’ve been running sitewide forums for quite a while without issue; but recently we have needed to enable groups and group forums. I have done this successfully and I’m able to create groups and add forums to them; these show up correctly under the Group Forums Category and also within people’s profiles and the group itself.
However the problem arrives when trying to create a topic in a group forum (sitewide are still fine). You can create the topic and it is listed in the group forum after the fact; however when you click on topic to view it you get a http 500 error saying the page can’t be displayed.
additionally topics posted in both privite and hidden forums also show up in the bbpress “recent topics” widget for everyone to see (even logged out people) which defeats the purpose of being private or hidden.
I’ve tried using the forum repair option and this didnt help, anyone got any ideas what the problem might be?

HI Guys and Gals,
We had someone that was going to migrate our websitetoolbox forum over to BB press for us.
We have already announced that the new forum will be back up next Monday and our migration guy has gone MIA…
Is there anyone in here that can help or do you know where I can get someone that is reliable?

Hi. When someone logs in to the forum in order to post or respond to something, they automatically get taken to the homepage afterwards. How do I change that so they get taken to the forum page that they came from instead?

Hi, I have created a private forum for members of my Board and staff to share news and views. I’ve also created user accounts for the people I want to have access. My (stupid) question is this: how do those users get to the Forum? Where do they login and how?

I am having some issues with the settings of my Group forums not abiding by the settings I have assigned in the BBpress backend. My main forums work just fine and follow the settings perfectly. It is in the Group forums that threads are not limited to 15 posts like I have specified in the BBpress settings.
Is there something I am missing and is there a way I can get this issue resolved as my Groups are more popular than the main forums in this instance so users are asking if I could limit the post count per page per thread quickly so they do not have to scroll so much.

i have set my forum up and quite happy with it so far but im wondering if there is a way to differentiate between admin/moderator posts and subscriber posts.
so can my admin posts be highlighted yellow, much like the sticky posts?

I am trying to install a BBPress Forum to a website I am working on. However, after installing the plug-in the only page I can access is the edit page. Settings, Activate, and About bring me to a blank page with text that states “You Do Not Have Sufficient Permissions to Access this Page”
After installing the plug in, I clicked activate plug in from the page that shows it has been installed. I received the error message, but it still appears that the plug in has been activated, because it now says “deactivate” underneath it on the plug ins list.
The theme is Bretheon version 2.0.1, and WordPress version 3.6.1. Everything is up to date, and everything else is running smoothly. I do not have any other problems besides this plug in.
All I want to do is install a simple forum where people can communicate with each other.
Any more information I will gladly give. I am teaching myself web development, and want to be the best that I can possibly be. This installation however is giving me headaches!! Please help!!
hi can anyone tell me how to use the bbpress plugin i have installed on my website im using runo lite as a lyric sharing website, i have set up a forum page but it doesn’t look right and no one seems to be able to use it with ease?
even i find it hard to use?
any help or guidence would be very welcome…
when i go on other forums they seem to run smooth, am i missing something?
