Published on November 17th, 2013 by willandmae

The Forum Recent Replies widget is showing the wrong time and date:

For Example:

guardianwill on Welcome
8 years, 5 months ago

The site has been in design for less than 2 months. When I look at this entry the right time and date is displayed

November 4, 2013 at 9:30 AM and then the reply message.

Thanks for any help.

using wp 3.7.1
buddypress – 1.8.1
bbpress – 2.4.1
buddypress-default theme

the forum recent topics is working correctly and showing the proper time.

Thanks in advance for any help concerning this issue.

How easy to setup a simple forum – Disagreement with Designer on bbPress Setup

Published on November 16th, 2013 by anthonyburns1

I have a disagreement with a designer on setting up bbPress forum on a new website. The design company has experience in forum setup.

The disagreement is here nor there really as I put it in the original site map document but now they say it’s not.

My question is how easy is it to setup a simple forum? How many hours? All I need is a simple forum for a very small community. 3-4 sections (General, Troubleshooting, Q&A etc) and that’s it. Management wouldn’t be through the design company.

A bit like this forum http://wpcandy.com/discussions/ .

Appreciate your thoughts.

Display all forums

Published on November 16th, 2013 by yanks789

I’m trying to display all categories and forums on one page, similar to this site. I like how it has the Category header, then the forum with forum details below it (topics, posts, last post). I know it will display if I view a single category, but can’t find a way to display all on one page. I tried

but the layout is more like a sitemap.

My site is here and I really do not want to have to modify the CCS to make everything display like the example.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Advanced Reply link in frontend

Published on November 15th, 2013 by Unsal Korkmaz

Hi,
I want to create a link in topics like “Advanced Reply” that goes to wp-admin before publish reply like this:
/wp-admin/post-new.php?post_type=reply&bbp_reply_to=999&bbp_topic_id=999
(maybe copying bbp_reply_content too if possible)

Anyone heard any plugin doing this?
