Hi folks,

I want to change my WP forum software from SP to bbPress. I made a backup, deactivated SP, installed bbPress and went to Tools > Forums > Import Forums. There I entered all necessary data.

When I start the conversion, the user import runs endlessly.

Let’s say I have 3 users (actually I have more, but just to make it simple). When I stopped the import after over 4000 users and looked into my database, I got this:

What am I doing wrong??

Problem: As shown in the picture, there are those items “Forum topics” “Forum reply” “Topics” and “Replies”. The “Forum topics” and “Forum reply” are always empty.

Possible cause: I installed bbpress and buddypresss.

Please help me delete “Forum topics” and “Forum reply” . Thank you.

I thought I was getting good at digging into the codex and css files and using themes to customize, until I tried this. This widget sits in a sidebar and lets the user selects the most popular topics for display, or topics with no replies. I simply want to change the wording for those selections. For example, I want to change “Most popular topics” to “Most Reviewed Books”

I have tried using firebug to figure out where this is, and done exhaustive word searching within bbpress files. I am at a loss. Please help.

bbPress 2.5.4 is out. It fixes 5 bugs, the last of which is a security concern for all previous bbPress 2.x installations.

The following bugs have been fixed in 2.5.4:

#2586 – Fix ‘Replies in each forum’ repair tool, to prevent breaking the reply position.
#2496 – Support slashes in slug settings, and improve sanitization of these fields.
#2518 – Improve handling of SSL assets when relying on theme compatibility.
#2588 – Fix bug when editing a reply that would pollute hierarchical replies in that topic.
#2610 – Properly handle escaping of displayed user fields and data when editing a user.

Hi, i searched the forum but couldnt find anything similar to my problem. And also pardon my English.

Problem: I want to have the navigation at the end of the topic (if it has more than 1 page), above the reply editor box.

On our website http://www.starroyaltyent.com/forum-index/ we have over 100 spam bots that come and register because don’t have a reCAPTCHA on the forum registration.

I am trying to figure out how to install the reCAPTCHA on the bbp forum when users register:

Hi all,
After importing a large enough vbulletin3 forum (86 forums, 12,000 threads, 346,000 replies), I successfully imported users, forums and threads, but in any threads, there is only one answer, the first.
All threads have only one answer, not one more!
Any idea?

Hello There,

I started a forum a long time ago and did not had all of the topics under 1 forum because i had not had many posts at the time and didnt want the website to look bare.

I have now started new forums under different categories and assigning topics to them. My problem is that when i look at the menu of forums on the website it says there are no topics or replies in that forum but when i click on the category it lists them and says forum empty.

I need for the menu to show how many topics there are and work because people are now looking for certain things.

Is it not registering because the topics were originall started in the main one?

when you click on something .i.e family and relationships youll be able to view the topics from within but it doesnt say there are any on the menu
