Is it possibly related to cookies and the domains they come from?

This problem can sometimes be caused by

disabling or refusing to accept cookies

My error was with Firefox 1.5.0.7 on Linux. Maybe it’s just coincidental it went away when the scripts were parsed by PHP5.
