Ipstenu – I have always installed bbPress and WordPress together like this, without a problem:

/var/www/example/wordpress/

accessible here http://www.example.com/

/var/www/example/wordpress/bbpress/

accessible here http://www.example.com/bbpress/

Are you suggesting NOT to install it like that?
