I blogged about this little tweak too and someone has just posted an edit to display a friendly message instead of the standard “not found” which sort of completes it 🙂
This above link is not working, can you pls share the correct link to that post of yours?
You are right
about what? regarding what?
You’re right, it was perhaps the theme issue only. Now I’m on my way to pin-point the issue further. But you seem to be right. I’ll let you know.
deactivating all plugins except Unyson plugin
Is there such plugin as you mentioned?
Could you please share me your site URL
And last, could you pls suggest me some paid developer in/around New Delhi in India, which could help me develop some code for MLM (Multi Level Marketing) for my WP website? In reply to: What does bbPress ‘No Role for these forums’ mean?
And 1 last question, is there any default/ready made user role, which allows a website visitor to read and reply to topics, but doesn’t allow him to create new topics/forums?
Thanks again for continuing.
But I’d like to point 2 anomalies.
1. In the link sent by you, no where its been mentioned that ‘spectate’ capability (that the user spectator has) means only the ‘Public Forums’. And thus ‘Spectator’ has viewing rights only for public forums and not private or hidden. I think this alone must be causing confusion for many users.
2. When ‘Participant’ and ‘No Role’ are equal, then what is the need of 2? There must be some diff, NO?
My website, BathindaHelper.com has only test forums/topics as of now.
Thank you for your reply.
But as I said in my OPost, spectator is not able even to ‘View’. When I change it to ‘Participant’ then only that user is able to view (/edit/create) all private and hidden forms.
And also, ‘No role’ user is also able to view/edit/create any topic. In reply to: Setting up Login and Registration…
Hi, I’m very late to this thread.
But is there some plugin which could show “You need to login to view this page” instead of “Page cannot be found”?In reply to: Search not finding results
