hudey, resolved the issues, started a few threads this morning. resolved everything.
ok I got it (hopefully). brought in all tables except topicmeta table. and it seems to work.
I’m trying to reinstall 0.9 to correct some mistakes i made during the last install, but it seems to pick up some of the old values (does not integrate with WP in spite of me now mentioning the secret cookie key).
are there any steps to fresh re-install wp 0.9? I’m really pressed for time, so if there are any paid services to help me out on this from anybody here please let me know.
the problem with the first install is:
1 – I did not integrate the forum with WP (the now infamous secret cookie key thingy)
2 – the username I registered and got the password for does not work. So now I can’t login to bbPress myself.
3 – the forums are open. I have a plugin for the older version which hid the forums from the outside world except the authors but that seems to not work with 0.9

if you check this thread and go back to the home page you will see that there is a discrepancy between the actual thread and on the home page w.r.t. what is the most recent post in the thread.

trent, sorry was away. no I’m keeping wp and bbpress seperate except for the user integration plugin. I’ll create a user for you and send it to you right away.
oops… sorry forgot to mention version… I’m using 0.8.1 integrated with WP 2.1
this is weird… logged out logged in about 2-3 times… tried to log in as another user… error… logged in again as me (admin) and this time I went straight to the forums instead of the dashboard.
I may have done something wrong… I deleted the whole folder and uploaded it again with the modified plugin… and it is working!!!
Is it me or some weird odd reason the display name seems to show up exactly like the previous version… no problems now…
After I log in I enter a different page (I think it’s the admin page) instead of the forums… is that how it is supposed to be?
No I don’t… I’ll try again… in a few and let you know how it goes.

Will the bbPress-WP Integration be working?

Haven’t checked it the bbpress-integration (bbpress-wp same users share) is working or not.
Darn… the view only on login plugin is also not working you can see the club without logging in.

Oh… another thing… in this scenario if I delete an author in bbPress, will it get deleted in WP?
Trent, Thanks… so if I delete an author in WP, I need not worry about it in bbPress. But if I change an author to a subscriber and don’t want him/her to access bbPress then I need to go and delete the author in bbPress. I hope I got this right…
