Is the problem relating to you as an Moderator when you are logged in / out or as a forum user (participant) logged in/out ?
I found W3 Total cache did not offer any perfomance improvements and I actually had less visitors when using the cache plugin.
The plugin works and does cache certain areas, but I am working with my hosting company to ensure server side cache is best, as nothing really else I have tried isas good as i was hoping (for BBPRESS)

Did you ever manage to find a suitable option for BBPRESS cache or is W3 Total Cache still your best option ?
As a follow up, I am now using Comet Cache (free version) which seems to suit my Forum better and has various options that include for logged in users, Cache pages are not shown. (others have this also) but is an important point .

Apologies for opening an old thread, given w3 total cache is not ideally suited for caching for BBPRESS – but is good for wordpress, is there an alternative cashing plugin suitable for BBPRESS or is BBPRESS generally best left un cashed ?

Thank you, This particular plugin has caused my sub forums not to be displayed whilst in current format, so hopefully just a glitch I have to add to the list to resolve ;-(
Well WP Smush does not work with my BBPRESS Layout, removes a lot of of Forum headers visually ;-(

This Forum bbpress.org does exactly the same, as a point or reference ?
FYI _ – I spent months on this topic fiddling and testing and my layout is working well now, I ended up changing to a different theme, since then so much better from a BBPRESS perspective.
For testing, try the https://themespiral.com/themes/timesnews/ theme as see if issue persists ?
This post actually reminded me to try again the Forum Styling and is working well with no missing sub forums etc.;-)

Does the [bsp-profile] shortcode not work if placed upon a page and is already logged in ?
I am using the [bsp-profile] shortcode via a menu option, as simpler for users to see and use and can be hidden if user is not logged in etc ?

Try the first option: as it does depend on your Theme
i.e go to your Dashboard > Appearance > Customise > Additional CSS and cut and paste the following in there (exactly as it is)

bbp signature is a very useful plugin
I have noticed that when the bbp signature plugin is activated, this automatically creates a duplicate copy of any posts in a change-log which is then visible to all.
Hopefully just an issue with my set-up, ?
