In reply to: Drupal Forum to bbPress
Brad and I will work on a write up for converting to bbPress from other programs. Sad part is, everything seeems to convert over to phpBB, so most of the writeup will be converters to phpBB and then the 2 phpBB => bbPress converters we have here

In reply to: Drupal Forum to bbPressIn the post above, from this post in that topic down to be exact. Then use the phpbb => bbPress converter in these forums.

In reply to: Unique Style Sheet?I know that this is a little off topic, but you have some great looking sites Ron! Wow!

In reply to: Dumb question!Who knows. Maybe wordpress.com will spark some kind of hosted bbPress solutions. May be wishful thinking though….

In reply to: Template: bbPress Forum ThemeI changed this up a little bit and made it work for the up and coming 0.8 theme. It would be nice to have someone test it again on 0.75 as I don’t have an install anymore, but I think my directions should work. Download is in the first post of this thread or check out the entry on my blog or over at the complete template and plugin blog, Pro Forum

*EDIT*
Null I am using the original logo again.
In reply to: 404 upon innstallIt looks like you have an .htaccess file in http://aagymruss.net/forum/ or maybe the permissions on that directory are not 644. Maybe check that out. As well, are all the files uploaded? I know that sounds like a stupid question, but http://aagymruss.net/forum/bb-admin/ says it doesn’t exist (not like the root folder that has permissions problem).
In fact, I should be able to see the file at this location, but it doesn’t exist!

It seems a little strange….

In reply to: 404 upon innstallChange over to this as well:
$bb->akismet_key = false;
Trent
In reply to: 404 upon innstallAs well, I changed your email in the post so that you don’t get harvested by spambots.
Trent
In reply to: 404 upon innstallFirst off, take the slash off the domain part:
$bb->domain = 'http://aagymruss.net';
That might get it going.

In reply to: loading wordpress with bbpressTypo and it stripped the link. It is working now above as well as here:

In reply to: loading wordpress with bbpressI have never tried what you are doing (in terms of this type of integration), but maybe this article by So10 might be something that can help in the meantime? If not, disregard

In reply to: Changing what memberlist plugin displays.Ardentfrost you are doing a great job. Your plugins are a great addition to not only this community, but all users of bbPress. I would imagine that you will do great on these plugins and other additions.

In reply to: 8.0mdawaffe has been closing tickets from 1.0 timeline for 0.8 release and there has been some issue we have been working on since the RC1, RC2 and RC3. Should be here soon! Everyone won’t be disappointed as everyone has chipped in and done a great job getting this release to be a great one! So10 and mdawaffe have done a great job finishing off tickets and everyone that contributed fixes to the problems, I give thanks.

In reply to: How do I delete a forumThat works as well for now! lol

In reply to: what’s up with the “-1 years”On a related note, 0.8 is coming out here (tomorrow maybe) and will have more controls over your time and GMT offset. Until then, change it to match the server and it should work fine for now.
Trent
In reply to: what’s up with the “-1 years”You need to play with the time for the server in your config.php for timezone until it shows up with the correct time for you.
Trent
In reply to: How do I delete a forumThat is correct. There is a delete option in 0.8 (very soon release) and you can delete forums with the option to have all the posts in that forum deleted or moved to another forum.
Trent
In reply to: Feed QuestionsThat option (a) would maybe require a plugin that maybe someone would be nice enough to write for you as I don’t think it would be too hard.
Option (b) is already available:

In reply to: Another integration problem – loginIf it is a real issue, just put a quick test install in a different folder structure. Test it up there and then you can move it to the real site.
Trent
In reply to: My Template VictoryThat is a nice integration that you have there! Playing around with the theme is really time consuming and each time I make a new bbPress template (now 7 different ones), it is always a different process so I can’t even write a manual! It is all using CSS and comparing the bbPress and WP stylesheets! Always fun though! Thanks for the everyone!
Trent
In reply to: Another integration problem – loginI am not sure how this will work on the localhost as that is not really a domain to define a cookie domain. Can’t be sure without testing it.
Trent
In reply to: 408 Error on this forum when removing a favoriteThis has been happening in all &utomattic servers and they know about it. Thanks for updating it being an issue still.
Trent
In reply to: Another integration problem – loginThat goes in the config.php in the bbPress install.

In reply to: Integrating BBPress with and existing (x)html siteIt is a bit of a complete thing if you don’t know CSS really well and the functions for bbPress. You can look at how the default theme is produced, or just take a look at this from So10
wordpress and bbpress theme integration
