Well, had just a problem logging in with my “old” login data. After 3rd or 4th try it worked for me. But i often get a white screen when clicking on links around this page. Hope someone fixes this soon. I like the new look. :)

Well… I am not very active in this forum because my english isn´t very good. But what i´ve read in the linked forum thread (Gautam) worries me a bit. For me it looks like the project going to it´s end. There´s no developement since month and Matts statement somehow reiterated this. I like bbPress very much, because there´s no forum plugin for wp which has such a performance as bbPress. Okay, i know bbPress isn´t a plugin but with the wp-integration it is really an alternative. Maybe a statement about bbPress future would be nice.

Thank you Kawauso! This works perfectly! Problem solved ;-)

@mwaterous: Sorry, now i know what you mean. Yes, you´re right. This is really not what i want to do.

@all: I tested the above mentioned fix once again with the default theme and got it working after changing the css file too… But as mwaterous said: this fix is not removing the brackets. It just fixes the line break between the brackets. I´d like to completely remove the brackets. Where they´re generated?

@Kawauso: I edited the active template. I only edited the mentioned functions.bb-template.php, not the css files. I´m using my own custom theme…

@mwaterous: I think you aren´t right. This (Ticket) is exactly what i´m talking about.

Thanks for your reply! Hm… That´s weird. The fix doesn´t work for me. The brackets still visible. I reload the page, delete the browsercache and nothing changed. Weird. I will try again later. Maybe i´ve done something wrong…

Sorry, but i can´t find any reported bug on trac related to this… Also i don´t want to wait months until a new release. Is there no way to remove these brackets? Maybe in core files?

Hm… That might be work. But there´s no way to handle this like in wordpress? For example you can pass arguments before and after the tag and also define a separator. Like this: <php the_tags('Tags:', ', ', ''); ?>

@sambauers: Thanks for your reply. No, i haven´t shell access. I´ll ask my hoster. Thanks! If none other users have any questions to the main topic this thread could be marked as solved.

I recommend continuing to use the plugin. There are only a few cases where integration might work without it.

Then i´m the luckiest guy on planet :) For me it seems to work fine without the plugin. I created some test users and i had no problems to access both frontends/backends logged in at the same time. Tested on different machines. But if you recommend it, i will install it just to prevent later problems that may be appear.

Thanks for your help so far! But what about the two folders mentioned above?

@Jason_JM: Okay, but as i said it works also without having the plugin installed. I tried it on my testblog, before going live. And if the plugin is really needed for integration it should be mentioned in the documentation. It´s the first place to go for users who are trying to integrate bbpress with wordpress…

But one more point: What about those 2 folders called my-plugins & my-templates. Is there a reason for why i can´t access them with my ftp? The folders can´t not opened either i can´t change their chmods. I´m using Filezilla as ftp tool. It reports “Failed to retrieve directory listing” when i try to open on of this folders.

Hm… I´m a bit confused, too. All seems to work fine. But why the plugin description says “This plugin is only useful if you are running bbPress version 1.0-alpha-4 or later” and why the plugin was updated to 1.0 if it works fine without it?

    Hi!

Thanks for your great work on 1.0 final.

I also have a question to the tags: If i use the destroy tag button i will be forwared to tag-destroy.php. It looks like this: Screenshot Just a blank page with some words. Is this intended? However the tag was deleted…

Okay, that means that it is correct as it is displayed (screenshot 1 and Screenshot 2) ?

Thank you for the link. It looks interesting. But at the moment it seems to be full @ browserlab and they´re temporarly not accepting new users :( I´ll will try it once again later.

Well done, it seems to be working now. I had to remove the clear:both in .poststuff. Then i had to realign some paddings (for positioning the dashed borders between each post). Now it looks okay in Firefox 3, Opera 9 and IE8. I hope it looks the same in IE7… I can´t test it.

Thanks for your help tomdebruin! Now i can go on with some other customization to suits it to my wp-theme.

@chrishajer: Thank you, that works fine!

    @johnhiler
: You´re right. If i set the value to -1 i´m always able to edit the posts. But this is something i doesn´t really need.

Okay, then there´s only one point left, the edit thing… I will have a look at the plugin and will see how it works.

Although… I got one more point to figure out. It´s a css thing. At the moment this is my testforum: http://www.test.be-infected.de/forum/topic/test-der-bbcode-buttons

If you take a look at the 2 post with the smilies in it, you can see that there´s a lot of space in this postings. I tried several things to strip this, but can´t find a solution. I think it´s the css class .threadpost that i have to edit. I know it sounds strange, but in this free space the bbsignatures plugin was showing the users signatures before. Could this relate to it?

    Any help is welcome ;-)

    Thanks for your reply, johnhiler!

    1) Thank you, the linked code works fine.

    2) The plugin works but this is more than i need ;-) Is it not possible to place a short text with the last date/time of edit by a template tag? By the way is there anywhere a overview about available template tags?

    3) Yes, i could hardcode it into the template. I don´t know how often i change the value yet. But everytime i change the value i also have to edit the template. So I wanted to avoid it.

Could solve my problem by adding new keys to wp & bbpress.

    Hi!

Having the same problem here: I can´t login to bbpress & wordpress at the same time. I´m using wp 2.8, bbpress 1.0 rc3 and the bbpress integration plugin 1.0-rc-3

    Hi!

Will these blank themes compatible to bbpress 1.0? Or will there be new releases in future?
