quick question – After i drop all my old tables can i import my backup sql file back into the forum through myphpadmin and have everything back as before?
I messed up on my attempt to upgrade. Somehow I deleted my original config.php file.

So seems like I will lose all data in my forum. No way to save it from here?
Hi Fel64, I’m having the same problem as the rest i.e I’ve changed the bozo status to 0 but can never save these changes. The user will revert back to “1” again no matter what I do.
What did I do wrong?

I removed the gengo plugin from wp and things are back to normal. I noticed in phpmyadmin collation for database between bb and wp doesn;t match and I’m guessing it’s partly responsible for my woes.
Collation for wp is utf-8 while bb is latin1_swedish_ci. But I’m not sure how to change this.
I need to check if gengo is supported in bb.
Ops sorry abt that. Please disregard my request then.
Latest status: I can’t even log on to wp now. Even with re-install, I’m getting invalid password error.

Ok I’ve been working on my site for an entire day and can’t seems to have things figured out.
I’ve been trying to get bbpress and wp to integrate or share cookies with no luck at all. I’ve got wp in http://www.website.com/community and bb in http://www.website.com/community/bb
I would run and install bb first and after I changed the password of my key master I would run wp but upon login I cannot logout!
I’ve tried many reccomendations I found in the forum but none work. Anyone with any idea what went wrong?
note: .htaccess is in /bb folder
New error I got from re-installing of BB
bbPress database error: [Incorrect table definition; there can be only one auto column and it must be defined as a key]
ALTER TABLE wp_posts ADD COLUMN post_id bigint(20) NOT NULL auto_increment
bbPress database error: [Key column ‘post_id’ doesn’t exist in table]
ALTER TABLE wp_posts ADD PRIMARY KEY (post_id)
Any tips to resolve this?
Sorry but what should I change the numeric to? I tried 0 (zero) but it changed right back to 1 again
Both bb and wp share the same database with similar prefix “wp_”
Would that be wrong too?

Unfortunately things did not work out. After adding those lines, I lost all privileges to post or even log out on wp and on bb registered users on wp are still experiencing failed log ins.
And on bb, after the new config.php was reloaded, it went into re-install.
$bb->cookiepath = ‘/’;
$bb->cookiedomain = ‘.website.com’;
and this in wp-config.php for wordpress:
define(‘COOKIE_DOMAIN’, ‘.website.com’);
define(‘COOKIEPATH’, ‘/’);

Can someone recommend if I should do a re-install?
WP is currently installed here: http://www.website.com/community/wp
bbpress is currently: http://www.website.com/community
Even though I managed to get the 2 sites integrated – i can see the same users on boths sites but am having problems logging in. And I know I need to do something to config.php but can;t quite figure it out. Or would a bbpress re-install solve my issues?
Also how do I setup something like http://www.community.website.com?
