In reply to: New bbP plugin install, users cannot create topics
I tried to help you out by going to my own WP install and attempted to use the plugin and got an error “The plugin does not have a valid header.” which, when researched, the answers say that the bbpress plugin is not actually a plugin, so color me confused! What step did you use to incorporate your bbpress with your WP?
In reply to: Bbpress won´t installOh gosh! I have no idea… but if you can get into PHPMyAdmin then this thread might have helpful info: https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/forum-could-not-be-created#post-19836
which basically says to insert info into the first table which will create the first thread and get everything started going the way it should.

In reply to: Disable RSS… todayI don’t know if this would help since it’s from a completely different forum, but I found this: http://flatpress.org/vanilla2/discussion/848/how-to-safely-securely-disable-rss-feeds/p1

In reply to: Moving PHPBB3 to BBPRess – Database issueWhat made you decide to move away from vbulletin?
I hope that your transition to bbpress runs smoothly, tables and all. Sounds like you’ve got a good handle on things already. Are you a member of WPMUDEV? They would probably be able to help you too, if you do run into problems because combining WPMU with buddypress & bbpress is their specialty (I think).

In reply to: bbpress vs phpbbI love bbpress, very configurable and it really doesn’t get a fair shake on the adminzoneforums, just barely mentioned there.
Yet I understand where eclipsenow is coming from with
I just can’t be bothered installing bbpress only to have to turn around and add 20 plug ins to give it the essential features I need
.
In reply to: Bbpress won´t installAnd if that doesn’t work… this guy here renamed his index.php to default.php to get it to run.

In reply to: Bbpress won´t installdo you see a bb-config.php file in your forum folder, or only a bb-config-sample.php file?
I don’t know if you can use the same database. Perhaps if you only use bbpress as a plugin and not standalone.
Do you have an .htaccess file?

In reply to: Site formatting -stylingI would take a look at some of the themes on bbninja and see if you like any of those. Then after you download one and install it, you can edit the code to make it look closer to how you want it.
It looks like you have made some changes (I don’t see the subforums beneath like you said) so are you happy with it now? Or what did you want it to look like? I think it looks decent.

Never mind, I did what I wanted to do by finding the areas in topic.php and creating a new CSS item.
