It’s been asked and answered before… but like one year ago. I need to completely disable RSS feeds in my private forums. Otherwise, entering my forum’s URL in Google Reader reveals everything! So I edited rss2.php and left everthing but a few lines. I also tried removing the reference to the rss in topic.php… to no avail.

The Private Forums plugin does not disable rss… something that would make sense. Google Reader keeps finding my posts. What else could I try?

Thanks! I tried Vanilla2 before bbPress. I don’t know if that solution would work with bbPress (I guess it won’t). But I just renamed rss.php and rss2.php so the forum system can’t find them and it works.

I guess I could edit them so that they return nothing, but this solution was faster and our forum is just for five people X) Thank you, anyway!
