Hey thanks, you know I really really like simple things and simple themes. I love it when I can just edit a CSS file and create a new look. Simple is beautiful.
I think you can be given access to the repository without needing to talk to the original author. I think the original plugin could be considered abandoned… although I’m not sure what the policies are.
Can you put this in the repository, or take over the plugin that is already there?
I haven’t tried it yet, but if this really works, it would be nice to have it there officially–even if you’re just going to do one version and abandon it.

Both my installs are live, used, and svn trunk. After the next update I may switch to the stable tag depending on how reliable trunk is going to be in the future. My general feeling is: as long as trunk is used for the bbPress website, it’s good enough for me.
I’ll want feedback if anyone finds something wrong or a color I missed.

Yeah I mean distributing what amounts to a kakumei-black style. Can I just call it a plugin and upload it to the repo here?

I’ve been on trunk now with few problems. But I don’t see this great facelift on my site I guess this isn’t available yet? I really like the bigger gravatars.
That’s ok. It’s hard to say what should be core functionality and what should be a plugin. Personally, I’m a fan of keeping the core as small as possible.
Is there a central location to manage topic subscriptions in the new subscribe feature?
Or is there a way to automatically subscribe upon reply?

I don’t know much about Pods, but how does this handle things like wordpress-bbpress integration? Is there user integration?
I’m a big fan of fluid theme designs. People used to care about screens with different resolutions, but it seems like everyone has forgotten about their HTML design now. I guess the defaults with bbPress and WordPress don’t help the concept much.
What I really care about are themes with ads that also say you’re not allowed to take them off.
I still have a phpBB2 forum I need to convert over… does this script work on the current versions of bbPress?

Yeah in phpBB there is a user setting where they can state that they want to automatically subscribe to any topic they reply.
Ok, I’ll take a look at that. I’m actually planning on converting my phpBB2 forum over instead of moving to phpBB3. I have made mods for phpBB2 and would like to make the same plugins for bbPress, but not if they already exist.
Wow, thanks for that. Any specific action or filter you’d recommend I attach this to so I can insert it without modifying template code? Like the sidebar? I’m new to bbPress and I don’t know what all the plugin API’s are. If I attach it to the sidebar, do you want the code?
lingmiester, I looked through the code and I didn’t see anything that sends email to anyone. I did see a “joke” about sending the emails to spammers though.
Is there any update on this, or newer script for importing phpbb2 ?
