In reply to: Problem updating to 2.1.3
@miguelcortereal I have the same WP 3.4.1, BP 1.6.1, BBP 2.1.2 setup and am not having a problem with bbpress activity showing up on the activity stream. Could it be a theme or plugin conflict?

In reply to: phpBBI won’t be much help with the error.
In reply to: Import from vBulletin2.x does. If you have bbPress installed go to /wp-admin/tools.php?page=bbp-converter.
In reply to: phpBBThe download link is for the 2.1 branch. If you follow the link it will take you to the plugin page where you can download 2.1.2. You can also install it directly through WordPress I find much easier.
In reply to: bbPress 2.1 – Theme Compatibility@vvikeb – FTP upload it.
In reply to: Changing profile photoGravatar.com. The bbPress forums pull them from there. I don’t believe you can change it directly from bbpress.org.
In reply to: Can I use bbPress and BuddyPress together? You can but integration isn’t great yet. The next versions of each should greatly improve that.
In reply to: New Install of a theme and pluginsThe support warning means the theme doesn’t natively support bbPress. You can add support or use shortcodes and still use bbPress. Here’s a link to shortcodes you can insert in a page. https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/bbpress-20-shortcodes
I don’t understand your question about plugins.
In reply to: New Install of a theme and pluginsbbPress 2.x doesn’t use the my-templates folder. 2.x uses the same theme your WordPress installation uses.
BuddyPress 1.6 will use bbPress 2.x as the forum component instead of the version of bbPress it currently uses. I believe that will lead to the activity stream being fixed.
We never get release dates, but BuddyPress initially said version 1.6 would be out close to when WP 3.3 was released. That was later retracted, but I’d guess it will be out by the end of January.
I tried to find the thread that worked for me, but can’t find it and don’t remember what I did. I know I did not install bbPress via BuddyPress so I don’t suggest you do that.
If you can wait this should fix itself with BuddyPress 1.6 and bbPress 2.1.
In reply to: bbPress 2.1 – Theme CompatibilityThere’s a “Zip Archive” link on the bottom of https://bbpress.trac.wordpress.org/browser/branches/plugin that will download the latest version. I hope you are aware 2.1 is a development version, not a released version of bbPress.
In reply to: Multiple Forums on Different PagesIt was possible with BuddyPress and forums installed via BuddyPress, but I don’t know of a way using bbPress 2.x yet. 2.x is supposed to be the forum software used for BuddyPress 1.6 so it should be coming soon.
I just sent a phpBB3 DB. It was originally phpBB2 and migrated to official way.
In reply to: bbpress & WordPressbbPress 2.x will work with any WordPress theme, some better than others.
In reply to: How is bbPress forum page setup? There’s not an easy way to do it yet because there isn’t a shortcode to display the latest topics. I’m sure there’s a way to code it, but I haven’t looked into how to do that.
Also, bbpress.org doesn’t uses bbpress 2.x yet.
In reply to: Installing bbpress 2 plz helpCan you go into the database and remove the old WordPress account?
What version of bbPress are you using? If a version other than 2.x, is it integrated with WordPress?
In reply to: Installing bbpress 2 plz helpIt sounds like you have tried to install bbpress 2.0 using bbpress 1.0 instructions. bbPress 2.0 is a WordPress plugin and should be installed and activated accordingly. If you are going to FTP upload it, place it in /wp-content/plugins.
In reply to: User Profile link errorIt won’t let me create a user without a letter in the username.
In reply to: User Profile link errorI’ll see if I have the same problem on my test installation.
In reply to: User Profile link errorIs the problem that you cannot get a users profile to show if the username is a number?
In reply to: User Profile link errorI don’t understand the question.
