bbPress is not a plugin for WordPress. Just upload the bbpress folder to a subdirectory of your WordPress installation, then access the installer.

http://www.example.com/ <— if this is WordPress

http://www.example.com/bbpress/ <— put the forum here

Then access that URL and start the installation.
