Available immediately is bbPress 2.0.2.
This maintenance release adds proper template redirects for logged-in users, and fixes a few bugs with the freshness recounter and closing topics.
If you already have bbPress 2.0.1 installed, updating to 2.0.2 is a cinch via the WordPress dashboard. If you’re still thinking of moving from a bbPress 1.x powered site, the method noted in our 2.0 post still applies. If you integrate bbPress 2.0.1 with BuddyPress, nothing additional needs to be done; it will still just work.
Thanks for fixing the Bugs. The freshness Recounter were annoying some Users and we hope getting them happy again.
In the file:
bbp-themes/bbp-twentyten/bbpress/loop-single-reply.php
The hooks are backwards:
do_action( ‘bbp_theme_after_reply_content’ );
do_action( ‘bbp_theme_before_reply_content’ );
Obviously it should be “before” then “after” .
Will be fixed in next release. Thanks!
Have you discontinued the standalone version? On download page, the latest available is 1.1
I’m still maintaining it if security issues come in, and anyone is welcome to patch it or use it. Less attention is going towards it, but it’s still a great bit of code for a simple stand-alone forum.
John / someone could you please provide assistance.
I tried to reset my password for the forums here at bbpress; the email came through, I clicked, and it said I did not have the permission to change my password. Could you please fix this bug? I had a comment for this thread I thought I’d make, as I have the exact same issue, and the responder so far hasn;t understood correctly the questioner’s point. Maybe you could help with that, too.
thread here is …topic/alternate-way-to-restrict-users. And things re: my account.
If you’re not able to reset your account here, try doing it over at WordPress.org. Your accounts are linked together between all of our .org sites.
Well done for fixing the bugs. Still waiting for the new updates though.
