I’ve added a new custom forum main page with some bb-codes instead of the default main page and I get a little disapointment, I can’t find out how to change the forums root page which redirect to mysite/forums instead of mysite/mynewmainforumpage.
Is it possible to do it?

Is there a plugin to achieve the type of filtering offered on pinside.com (click on forum page)? Rebuilding a forum and would like to have the homepage/forum basically be an activity feed of topics that show all stuff in the order of newness but you can uncheck forums to drill down. Or maybe play with some other ideas but starting with a basis like that website?

So the box I am typing in now on my installation does not show up nor does the heading. All other boxes show up. How do I resolve? I did a preview of another theme to see if it was a theme issue but it showed up in theme 2014 the same way. I currently use Mixed Professional from themeforest.

I am building a community website which will enable groups to post help requests on a bbpress forum. To post requests, all forum users must register.
In testing, when participants register for the forum, they are being assigned WP user roles too. I have set this to be Subscriber, but this is allowing them to access JetPack and some other things from the dashboard.
I don’t want forum particpants to have any access to the dasboard – only to bbpress forums. Am I missing a settings somewhere?

I’m using the latest version of WP/BBpress/theme (SmartMag). With all plugins turned off, except, bbpress, I still can’t get the visual editor button to work. It’s there, you can click on it, but it won’t do anything.
The theme author swears it works with BBpress since 1.5 – so I don’t know where or how to troubleshoot?

How can I create a link so my members can update their profile?
I see posts on this forum about the profile page but no explanation on how to link to it.
There is a way to do right? Even on this very forum I see a login link at top right. I can then edit my profile, see posts I wrote, etc. So this exist.
How can I create these links? Is it not part of the core? I hope someone can help. Thanks.
