Hi,
How do my users check and e.g. unsubscribe/edit their subscriptions to my forum?

I’m able to embed external sources into my forum with direct urls, which is nice.
But they are HUGE. How can I change the size so that they don’t take up so much space?

I’ve attempted to use:
if ( ! isset( $content_width ) ) $content_width = 500;

in child theme functions.php but it didn’t change anything.

I am new to bbpress but I migrated a huge type3-mmxforum https://www.porsche-diesel-classic.de/pdce-forum/

to bbpress – that was a lot of work …

Anyway: when searching with NO result the system does NOT show something like
–> “No results found”,

it is going to a “blank” page (with header and footer, but no content).
Is this an issue of the template? What can I do, any suggestions?

I made an analysis on the existing user profile avatar / photo and I couldn’t find one that is free and works for my experimental forum. For sure there is a setting problem in my project, but I cannot find it. There are is not very useful conversation in the console (we will extend the discussion here if required).

Here is the list:

1. Avatar Manager there is the upload button, select the picture but nothing is uploaded

2. WP User Avatars there is the upload button, select the picture but nothing is uploaded

3. Basic User Avatars there is the upload button, select the picture but nothing is uploaded

Maybe for these 3 there is a settings that prevents uploading?

4. Simple Local Avatars http://…/wordpress/forums/users/…/edit/ doesn’t load anymore

It break somehow the bbpress.

5. Simple User Avatar the select (upload) button does not work

6. User Photo the plugin activate button does not work

7. WP Custom Avatar maybe its not compatible with bbPress, doesn’t appear at http://…/wordpress/forums/users/…/edit/

8. User Profile Picture maybe its not compatible with bbPress, doesn’t appear at http://…/wordpress/forums/users/…/edit/

9. WP User Avatar the option is not free for bbpress, maybe it works fine

10. User registration & user profile – Profile Builder il avem deja the option is not free for bbpress, maybe it works fine

What are your suggestions on this?

How can I remove the nevigation arrows to the “next” forum at the bottom of the page?

And I want to allow non-logged users to view but not add or comment?

Since I have ads on my site, I want users to visit the site more than just see the emails.

Right now if someone posts a topic or replies to a topic, the entire contents are sent. I would prefer it if only the first, say, 25 words are send so that if users are interested they must visit the site. Is there any way to truncate the email contents?

I would like my site to be completely user driven. I don’t want to create all the possible forums and only have users create topics, can I do this?

Right now when I include the new forum shortcode, it forces users to select a “parent forum” which is not what I want

with the new GDPR regulations coming into effect soon:
Do you have an option to the registration (username and email), whereby the privacy policy checkbox must be ticked?
My javascript is better than php, but i would prefer not to add a checkbox via the frontend in case someone has JS deactivated in their browser.
