Hi,
hoping for help, since I´m not in no way good enough to find this answer.
The inputfiled for posts/replys in atopic seems to be attached to the page where the first post in a topic was made. Since I´ve using the the threads so that the latest post gets on top in the first page (and therefore the first post ends upp last in the last page). What happens is that the posting (input)-field ends upp on the last page.
Is it possible to change in the code så that the posting field ends upp connected to the last posting/reply. And then (hopefully on page one).
Anybody?

After loading and installing and settling up bbPress, including cookie integration, I cannot do anything on the associated/linked site. Archive listings work, the main page works. But for anything else it seems to go into this infinite redirect to itself. The site is www.zombiezonenews.com and it now no longer functions.
One catch, possibly, is that I did not load the integration plugin to WP first. (And now I can’t login or anything to activate it) I’m lost.

hello bb’ans,
if <?php login_form(); ?> calls the login form template, what calls the register form?
i’ve tried as a php hardcore ultra mega pro the <?php register_form(); ?> idea, but that’s somehow not the way how it should be

Help! I am using Go Daddy and I’ve already installed bbpress in the subdomain file of my directory. when I go to the site, it does show me the installer but when I enter the info it says there’s a problem connecting to the database. I’ve called Go Daddy to make sure that the database name and password I’m entering is correct. Can anyone help with this?

I just finished installing and integrating a setup of WordPress MU 2.8.4a, BuddyPress 1.0.3, and bbPress 1.0.2. Everything seems to have gone fine, except I cannot seem to access the Plugins page under the bbPress Admin menu. When I click it, it directs me to …/bb-admin/plugins.php which loads only a blank white page. Also, bbPress does not seem to recognize any themes placed in the “my-templates” folder and so I am forced to place them in the core “bb-templates” folder. Because of the plugins.php problem, I cannot tell if it will recognize plugins placed in the “my-plugins” folder, as I cannot access the plugins page to find out.
Does anyone know what could potentially be going on? Any suggestions for fixing it? Thanks in advance.

Most other forum softwares have websites providing free hosting. Why not bbPress? So, I decided to start a free hosting for bbPress myself.
If anyone is interested, please take a look at my brand-new website, yes, entirely run by bbPress itself !! :

I hope this posting won’t be misunderstood as a spam…

Hi all,
sadly bbsync still doesn’t work AFAIK and so I’ll probably head with SMF.
At least SMF has this.
https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/post-to-smf-forum/
I wish bbpress where a truly “out of the box” solution with all the SMF features already built in.
I wish bbpress were a plugin, or in WP core, so that all I had to do was click a few buttons and it was there.
I wish this WP/forum plugin also had a bbsync blog-post-to-forum-post automatic function that I could just switch on, also WP core.
But it isn’t. BBpress seems to have all sorts of issues integrating with WP. I may as well just operate 2 separate databases, and keep the thing simple. Once users have logged in and accepted the cookies they don’t have to keep logging in anyway… they’re auto-logged in. If a WP post can be automatically shunted across to SMF as an SMF post with an automated link to that post, wow!

Hello All,
I have decided to make wpmu as the only point of registration on my website www.oraclepronet.com though I have buddypress and bbpress configured with cookie sharing (it works well). Since I use the same user table and since I have loaded the wp-blog-header.php in bb-config.php using require_once, isn’t it possible for me to display the avatars used by buddypress users in bbpress ?
I have tried modifying the top posters plugins to use the get_avatar($k->posterid,’32’) function and it displays a mystery man icon instead of the correct buddypress/wpmu thumbnail.
Too much to ask for? I really don’t want to allow users to add thumbnail from all places. (blog, user profile, bbpress profile)
Kindly help
Best Regards
Ramesh J Menon

Hi,
I changed in the Topic.php so that the last posts ends upp first in order. But when i want to put in a new post in a topic, it jumps to the last page within the Topic. Which isn´t needed since the newest post is first.
What to do.
