after following _ck_’s advice to use 0.9.0.6 still – and after starting over with my bbPress project already assembled under 1.02 – I ran into the following problem today:
After installing XAMPPlite (Windows32) v1.7.2, several routines of bbPress started to flag the ‘Deprecated’ errors.
My provider 1&1 ist using PHP 5.28 still – but nobody knows when they would upgrade to 5.3 finally .
Any advice how to tackle the challenge – not only the messages?

I have done this successfully on my localhost, but trying to do on on our host’s webspace is proving difficult.
The integration of cookies works fine, but when I add a group to Buddypress, where is should normally say:
“Enable discussion forum”
It says:
“Attention Site Admin: Group forums require the correct setup and configuration of a bbPress installation.”
This is the part where a forum should automatically be created for the group. The passwords match up, the only difference I can see is one is using localhost and the other is using external webspace. Our host don’t allow us to set a folder to have 777 file permissions, which I thought could be the problem?
My question is, does the bbpress folder need 777 permissions for it to integrate successfully this way, or should I be looking somewhere else for the problem?

Is there a plugin that could allow BBPress be used in conjunction with a mailman style mailing list.
So that anything posted to the forum is sent out to the mailing list and any emails sent to the mailing list are posted to the forum in the relevant place?
hi friends i integrated a wp blog http://www.diamondexotica.com/blog to my website, i am happy with the theme but there are few problems after i installed it to my root directory the header is not working properly in the original theme there was a field ion header where i can insert imaged along with a slider but now that is not working and moreover there is one more problem regarding pretty permalinks i want my urls ending with post name not with some id’s. can people out here will help me regarding this problem.

Is there a way to have a dropdown list of members with BBPM rather than having to type the recipients username in?
Most people won’t remember ebery user name that they want to PM.
I just upgraded to the latest version from 0.9 or whatever the number was. It all went perfectly except for one thing.
Now when I go to my profile apge and click “Upload an image for your profile” it just takes me back the forum front page. The same thing happens when I click the “Avatar” tab in the profile page.
Anyone have any ideas because I am stuck with this one?
Where is the pagination code?
This is being very picky, but, I want the current page number to be <b>bold</b>.
Could someone tell me where the code is so I can add bold tags around the current page OR can someone tell me the CSS code that I can add to my style sheet that will make the current page number bold?
Just from viewing the source of one of my view pages I found the following:
<span class=”page-numbers current”>1</span>
So, I tried adding .page-numbers current {font-weight:bold;} to my style sheet, but that doesn’t work.
