Hi – I recently set up a forum, integrated with WordPress.
bbPress 1.02
WP 2.7
Everything is working fine, but several users are reporting that when they click the “View Profile” link they get a “User Not Found” error. I have examined their accounts in the database and have not found anything to differentiate them from other users.
I did find a thread on this forum referring to a similar error for the Key Master after setup. The solution there was to manually add a user nice name in the database. My problem is different as all users have nice names defined in the database already.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

When I am logged into my account on my forum http://storeeboard.com and I view my profile, it comes up with ‘User Activity’ and shows all of the topics I have started and all of my recent replies plus my email and website etc. But when viewing other members profiles it just comes up with their name and the avatar they have uploaded.
I want to be able to set it so that when a user is logged in and they view somebody elses profile, they can see all of this information (but I don’t want to show their email address).
Any help is appreciated. I am using the kakumei theme but fairly heavily modified.
Thanks

Does bbPress have something similar to WPs <!–nextpage–> to break a topic into several pages if too long?
Thanks.

On my new forum http://www.invictatrader.com/bbpress/ I noticed that as I added more stuff to it with tags, I could see tags on the top in the topic itself but not in the “Heat Map” or the box where the tags are displayed. Is there a limit on how many tags can be shown in this box and if so how can I change the number to whatever I want it to?
Also are tags in bbPress similar to meta tag keywords in WP? I did not see them in the page source under keywords. Does bbPress have a plugin that inserts keywords like in WP?
Thank you.

I know this topic has been touched on elsewhere but I have found, after an hour of reading this site, that there is no definitive answer and without one I’m going to pull hair out… and i don’t have much left to do that with, so here goes..
wpmu installed fine
buddypress installed fine
bbpress installed fine
opted to make change in role map and share membership database in admin panel
did that…
when i did, as the page said,
“you might be logged out”
I was… but I was not only logged out, the admin account no longer exists
so I can’t get back into the thing to change anything,
I have downloaded, installed and followed the directions of the lost keymaster plugin to no avail
i now have a nice forum software package staring at me and no way to get into it, and membership
is not being shared
i need some form of serious, helpful guidance this is supposed to be working today
thank you in advance

Say you have a thread like the one here:
https://bbpress.org/forums/topic/phpbb3-gt-bbpress-converter-beta-release
What would be a recommended approach to print or save ALL pages at once – or read them on one page, when online?
(There are reasons to work with something offline still …)

Similar to Facebook, just like their bad ass wall updates.

Hello everyone I’ve just install bb-attachments in my blog, but I can’t see the images that I upload. Only why this? I thought that can be an error in the position of the folders. I follow all the steps from the instalation page. this is my situation now:
root/
bb-attachments(this folder has 777 permision and is the folder of the bb-attachment)
errors
logs
tmp
web/
foro/
bb-admin
bb-includes
bb-plugins
bb-templates
my-plugins/(this folder doesn’t exists, so I have to create it)
bb-attachments(this is the same folder situated in the root)
wp-admin
wp-content
wp-includes

I’m sure I’m about to get roasted for missing something really obvious but for the life of me, I can’t seem to easily find plugins based upon their name using the plugin search.
For example, search for ‘Best Answer’. The plugin itself called exactly ‘Best Answer’ is the 3rd result on the 2nd page of results?
It would be great if this situation could be improved.
Cheers,
Ryan

Howdy,
I’ve just installed a fresh, non-integrated 1.0.2 copy to /forums using Kakumei. I can log out of the forum area fine, but trying to log out of the Admin panel causes the following Forbidden error:
You don’t have permission to access /forums/bb-login.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
The difference in the hrefs is apparent:
example.org/forums/bb-login.php?logout=1
(forum) vs (admin panel follows)
example.org/forums/bb-login.php?logout=1&re=http://example.org/forums/
My apologies if this is addressed elsewhere; I’ve looked through the topics under “log out” and “logout” and didn’t see anything there.
Thanks.
