Help! I’m a complete novice at this and I’m trying to have a bb forum for my new website. I managed to create a subdirectory in filezilla (called forum) and I unzipped and uploaded bbpress into that folder.
When I go to where I think it should be domainname/forum I get an error message telling me that the page can be found but I don’t have permission to view it.
Where have I gone wrong (answers in words of one syllable or less please as I am an un IT savvy mummy)?

followed instructions for the cookies and still resulted in me loggin in 1 side and auto-logout on the other.

-i want my wordpress to have a few horizontal navigation bars at the header instead of the default ones at the side.
-i want to be change the default header image to my own and able to make my left/right sides blank like this forum. the left/right sides should be easily customized with my preferred wallpaper.

Hi, i put the topic of the forum in a RSS feed on WP. The problem is dat the RSS-feed , example: http://mysite.com/forum/rss, is not updating.
Any help is welcome.
I successfully downloaded avatars for myself and other users (JPG). I tried to change them but the original avatar keeps showing up when I try to initiate a different one. I experimented by trying to upload another members which had worked earlier but it doesn’t work. The correct file shows in the “browse” box but when I click upload avatar the original one always loads? It looks very simple and straightforward and was working fine yesterday…I delete the current avatar and then browse…click on it….it shows up and I click upload….worked yesterday…..thanks in advance for any replies.

I installed bbPress Moderation Suite two weeks ago. It was working perfectly for a good amount of time, until 3 days ago, when I appointed a new moderator for my forum.
It seems that the Moderation Suite is only allowing key-masters to access the moderation control panel. I have a funny feeling that this my have something to do with one of my other plugins. The minute the new mod was appointed, he went straight in to have a browse around my modified admin panel. He told me at that point that he had access to the Mod Suite – but now it seems he doesn’t.
I have created a test user and changed the levels between Moderator and Administrator – nothing worked. It’s only letting Keymasters in.
Any ideas?

So how does one mark topics as ‘[resolved]’ in BBPress?
I would like a quote on integrating WordPress, bbPress, and Memberwing membership system.
To see what I need —
1)Go to http://internet101.biz/wordpress-how-to and join the site (upper right “Free registration for premium content”)
2)Login and then go to the Forum http://internet101.biz/forums . You will be logged in but won’t be able to post because there is no bbPress role defined for Memberwing “Bronze member”.
What I want is for bbPress “member” role to be assigned from Memberwing “Gold member”.

I installed my bbPress forums (http://www.inniosoft.co.cc/devstation) about 2 weeks ago. I have also added many plugins to it – and everything seems to be just peachy.
However, I now have a problem with my RSS Feeds. I am getting the following error in Mozilla Firefox:
XML Parsing Error: XML or text declaration not at start of entity
Location: http://www.inniosoft.co.cc/devstation/rss/forum/news-and-announcements
Line Number 1, Column 2: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
-^I have replaced all the RSS files with the originals just in case the were corrupted – with no luck.
