Hi everyone. I’m currently trying to implement bbPress into my WP site.
I managed to install it fine, the problem is that neither bbPress nor my website actually work together in any way.
For example, having installed bbPress to my root directory I could access the bbPress forum but it was entirely independent of my site, and had no “home” button to return to my site. Whilst my site had no forum button to physically travel to the forum.
It is as if I’d made two separate websites. Is this normal?
Having installed the bbPress plugin also, this did integrate into my site, in the correct position (within the confines of the page). However by doing this method in the dashboard it states:
“Your active theme does not include bbPress template files. Your forums are using the default styling included with bbPress”.
So I have a conundrum:
1. If I use the plugin it lacks most vital features.
2. If I install directly to the root directory, bbPress becomes an entirely separate entity from my website with no ability (that I can see) to return back to my homepage.
Is there a way of installing the plugin (as this places it where I need it to be) but also have the features of the independent bbPress site I made by manually installing to the root?
(am I making any sense at all?)
Hide a topic within a public forum? Something only admins/mods could perform.
I installed the BBpress plugin into my WordPress install without any issues except one… Can someone tell me how I can let users of the forum update their Avatars? I’ve tried a number of plugins with no luck so far. Any suggestions?
Posts from a private forum are finding their way into the BuddyPress Activity Stream, for all users to see. Is there a possible plugin to take care of this functionality?
Thanks!

I can’t seem to locate where the words EDIT and DELETE and pulled from.
I want to change them to images, see this page for an example of how QUOTE looks

Thanks so much for your help
I still have trouble locating new replies from users. I’m afraid that at this time I’m the one answering all my visitors questions. I hope others will start to jump in but for now I have to locate all the most current posts.
I subscribe each time for email but this notifies mes and the link will take me to a single post by this person. This is fine because I can determine from here what topic they are in and then go look for them.
I still would like to have a control panel in my dashboard where I can limit what is there to just the ones I have not viewed. this way I could act on them quicker.
I’d like to ignore the replies and topics where all duties have been accomplished and I have no action items to work on…
Does this make sense?
Hi chaps, just a quickie: is there any snippets of code I can use to display the latest posts (and decide the number) on my static and custom front page here: www.krcsc.co.uk. Am using BBP 2.0 but can’t find any php on it – any ideas?
Hi,
I have a request from a client to remove a user, along with all their posts on the forum. I have marked them as a spammer, and also deleted them, but their posts still remain on the site as ‘Anonymous’
Any idea how I can remove them?
Thanks!
My user avatars look great when they appear on an individual topic page, but on the page where it lists all the topics in a forum they are tiny (14×14 px)
I’m using an unmodified WP bbPress plugin and I uploaded the avatars with the “Simple Local Avatars” WP plugin. Anyone know why they would look good in the topics page but tiny on the list page?
