Apologies in advance if this has already been answered – I couldn’t find it anywhere. If I have a WordPress free blog (xxx.wordpress.com) and I want to add a bbpress forum to it – is that possible via the plugin? Or do I need my own domain name?
If it is possible, could someone give me more detailed instructions about how to do it? Where do I upload the files to?
Or of course if this has been answered, just point me to the link.
Thanks!!
Hi there forum!
I was hoping anyone could help me with this.
I want my forum to be full width. But i have tryed tons of things, without success.
Here you can see my forum: http://battlecraft.dk/?post_type=forum
I wan’t it to be 960 pixels wide.
Also i would like to change the theme or something. Because it look strange that i centers all the text. Overall, the forum looks strange.
So some help with both things would be nice, but mostly just with the width issue.
Ps.
How would i go around translating my forum to danish?
Thanks in advance.
Best Regards,
Jonas Carlsen Kjær.
I understand how to make a forum private when using the bbPress WordPress plugin, but I don’t see how to assign roles-based access. Do I need a plugin to do this?
I installed bbpress Plugin on my multisite without an issue and made a few preliminary forums in the main forums directory … that went with no issues at all.
When I went to create a support category and make a few forums under that category I get a page not found error.
Did I do somthing wrong in my installation or is this a common problem? Either way any idea how to fix it?
http://lchosts.com/forums is my forum if that helps at all
Is it possible with the new bp and bbp integration to allow for groups to have more then one forum? I am just trying to understand why if you have a bp set up you would want to have bbp with it…. I posted this under trouble shooting in case it is possible to do so – have more then one forum in a group like so:
If you cannot do this whats the reason for allowing integration with bp? what function does this serve?
Probably a noob question, but I don’t speak php.
I installed the Simple Onlinelist plugin and got it to display the last online time on a user’s profile page, and the currently online users on the frontpage.
What I would really like is to have that item in the Admin’s list of users, as a new column. I looked at /bb-admin/users.php and can’t make heads or tails out of it, as it appears to draw its data from a variable or function or something that is elsewhere.
I’m just using kakumei, which doesn’t seem to have anything relevant in its folder.
Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
When pressing a forum tag I would love to show regular WordPress posts that contain this tag as well. Any thoughts on an easy way to do this?
Got my first spam post today on my new BBpress forum. So Akismet does not look at posts? How do you manage spam on a BBpress forum?
I just installed a BBpress forum using the plugin on my new wordpress site a few days ago and today I see two strange posts claiming to be password protected????
One was clearly spam and the other weird so I deleted both users and all their posts. When I did a test post with my own test user this did not happen.

Any thoughts on this?
Hi,
I just installed version 1.0.3 to a subdirectory called bbpress. When I logon it’s ok but right after logon it redirects to bbpress/bbpress which does not exist.
How do I correct this?
Also, I get the admin button but it doesn’t do anything. Is that related to the first issue?
http://www.ilkda.com/bbpress/
becomes:
https://www.ilkda.com/bbpress/bbpress/
for some odd reason.
thanks in advance,
alan
