bbPress.org

I’m sure this is a stupid question, but I’ve tried and can’t seem to find an answer to is.

I have bbPress installed on a Genesis/Education theme. People can leave comments and I can moderate them. However, I can’t seem to find a list of the users anywhere.

I expected to find them under settings in the back end of the WordPress system, but they aren’t there.

Sorry to waste your time on this, but I haven’t been able to figure it out after quite a bit of research.

Did I miss something really simple in the install?

I’m running a huge forum (65K registered users, 2.4M posts) on BBpress 1.0.2. I just posted a question related to updating to 1.1, but at the same time I’m curious about the new developments with BBP as a plugin for WP.

Is version 2.0.2 capable of handling forums the size of mine?

Hi everybody,

Currently I’m running a forum on BBP 1.0.2, but I would like to upgrade to 1.1, because of some severe performance issues. The company that installed and configured my forum doesn’t know if they changed anything in the core. That’s why I’m trying to find a clean 1.0.2-zipfile to automatically compare the various files, before I upgrade to 1.1

On the BBpress download page version 1.0.2 isn’t to be found. Can anybody supply me with one?

I installed bbpress for my wordpress site. (Organic Themes if it makes a difference) Then I saw this message:

Your active theme does not include bbPress template files. Your forums are using the default styling included with bbPress.

I don’t even know what that means and what to do.

Secondly, while I can locate “forums” on the left side of my dashboard and even preview when I make a thread I can not locate it in my website. I even create a new page titled “forums” thinking that would do the trick, but nothing. What should i do?

I just installed bbPress 2.0.2 forum plugin for WordPress, and would like to change the text of link Home to iGeek (or anything else, for that matter).

So the breadcrumb Home › Forums becomes iGeek › Forums (or something like that). How do I do that?

Some of my users are getting this error after replying to a topic (although their replies are successfully posted despite the error):

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near…

…and then it list the html of the first line of their reply. It looks like that usually contains an @mention if that makes a difference.

Any ideas on this?

In the BBpress 2.0 plugin, single replies show the exact date posted instead of X hours ago/freshness format. How can I switch this back to freshness format?

We have bbPress 1.2 installed on our site, but it is currently being throttled by our host because of slow load time. I need a programmer to work with to optimize the site.

We are also interested in upgrading to version 2.0.

I downloaded bbpress because the bbpress.org looked so nice. This is exactly the look I want in my forum. When I load the bbpress that I downloaded, it doesn’t look anything like this.

I am so bummed. I’m not a great coder, so if it’s going to involve a lot of php work, I’m out of luck.

My site is running WP 3.3.1, with the Twenty Eleven theme. Is there anything I can put my hands on to get a forum that looks like this one?
