Published on September 25th, 2012 by kortschotHi There…
Is there a way to enhance the functionality for moderators? I need to sign certain moderators to certain forums, even to certain topics. When new content has been placed there by a user, logged in or not, the moderators need to receive an e-mail.
Is there a 3d party solution, or can anybody point me in a direction?
Thanks!
Updated forum user profiles
Published on September 25th, 2012 by John James JacobyUpdated bbPress.org to bbPress trunk so we get the user-profile templates coming in bbPress 2.2. A few things:
* Profiles now broken up into distinct sections.
* @-style mention links to content areas (See: @johnjamesjacoby, @jaredatch, @netweb, etc…)
Help with formatting…
Published on September 25th, 2012 by fpattenCurrently my forums look like this.

What file do I need to edit to make them look like this?

I’d like to remove the break before the forums description and the user info.

How to install bbpress ?
Published on September 24th, 2012 by theophile76Hello, I installed the last bbpress version plugin on the last wordpress version.
Frist I created a new forum, I added it on my own menu.

Manually change forums/thread parent page
Published on September 24th, 2012 by savvystephyHi,
I was wondering if anyone knew how to manually change the parent page of the forums/thread postings. It defaults to the blog page. The reason why this matters is 1, the breadcrumbs don’t necessarily have to go back to the home page and 2. The menu highlights the parent page when in the page so that it will have “forums” highlighted when in any part of the forums. However, after you leave the forum splash page aka forum listing then the blog tab highlights because it’s the parent page instead of forums being the parent.
Thanks for any help / advice you may have! Hopefully I described this well enough as I can’t provide links since this is proprietary.
Send email notifications to all users upon new topic publish
Published on September 24th, 2012 by rleitmanI need the system to send email notifications to all users upon new topic publish, this should be the default behavior and users can then turned it off. but as default each user always get email notification for any post on any category. my forum is only for registered users and is small.
View forum only by registered users
Published on September 24th, 2012 by rleitmanHow can I set bbpress so it can be viewed by registered users only ? e.g. have a menu item in word press main page that doesn’t allow me to get into the forum page at all if I am not logged in ?
How can I set groups and permissions for specific forum categories to be viewed by group of users ?
New install. Posts not showing within thread
Published on September 24th, 2012 by samholmanHi all,
I’ve got a fresh installation of bbPress within a WordPress site with a custom theme. The forum needs some styling work, but seems to be mostly functional, aside from the lack of posts within threads.
I’m including a screenshot of a test thread with one reply. As you can see, the contents of the post and it’s reply are absent and i’m unsure as to where to look to fix it.

WordPress 3.4.2 and bbPress 2.1.2.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Sam.
