Hi, for some time I’ve got a problem with 404 error everytime I submit a post. (the post is saved but i got bad redirect 404 error)

I’ve tryed to use  Tools->Repair Forums, updating Permalink settings and updating
Forum settings.

I’ve trun off bbpress plugins as well… nothing helps

After submiting, the redirect URL goes wrong. it doubles the “blog”:

https://domain.com/blog/blog/?topic=topicname/#post-1800

or sometimes:  https://domain.com/blog/?forum=topicname%2F#post-1805

Whats “%2F”??

Is there anyone who knwos how to resolve it?

I am new to this kind of forum. I have used phpBB allot before.
But now im trying out this type to see if i can use it for my community´s new site.

But i have big issues understanding the setup for the forum. I mean, i cant find any settings about permissions…. Who should see what on the forum, who should write where and what moderation/admin permissions should each user have etc?

Anyone able to help?

When I go to create a new page on my website there is no “page attributes” section and so I can’t choose a template. I have templates where it is present but to be honest they’re sometimes boring looking, sometimes messy looking. I really like my theme with a nice neat slider sweeping across the screen.

Is there any way to make my theme compatible and if not are there themes with sliders that look neat that are already compatible with bbpress? Where would I find them?

Hi everybody! Ok, after 10 hours of research and trying, I surrender and ask to people who know more than me.

I’m trying to change the default tab “home” of each buddypress groups for the “forum”, so I can Hide or delete the “home” tab and only use the forum.

I’ve tried hundreds of different codes I’ve found on diferent blogs and with some changes I made but no one does ANYTHING in the way the tabs are shown or oppened in the groups.

There is also the root in which I created the bp-custom.php file.

I can’t think anything to fix this. Please could anybody help me with this? Does anybody thing about anything that is causing this?

On wordpress version 3.5 and bbPress 2.2.3 is there a way to tweak the permalinks on bbPress so they look like

when viewing forum: /forum/”forum name”/

when viewing a topic: /forum/”forum name”/”topic name”/

Is there a parameter that goes with the bblogin shortcode that you can tell what url to redirect too after someone logs in? I want it to always go to my forums homepage, but that doesn’t seem to work.

I made a new page and added the bblogin shortcode in the main content block. Problem is after i login using this forum it keeps me on this page instead of sending me to the forums main page.

Got any ideas how to change the redirect_url via the shortcode?

I was wondering how to modify the original widgets to be able to select “parent forum” of recent topics/replies to show in sidebar.

Example, in my forum I have forums about movies and others about literature. As website goes between those subjects, I’d like to show recent topics/replies from literature forums in the literature part of website and so in movies section.

It’s a bit mixed up to have everything in the same place, a bit confusing if you have very big forums.

I’ve been trying to add parent_forum variable into the widget with no success as it doesn’t save the data. And even if I put it manually in the db, it will not show up.

Hello! I have a rather simple change to make but I’m finding myself stuck. I need to add some text above the list of forums on the main forum page – just some basic intro text. I don’t think I can do this within the WP Editor but I can’t seem to identify which file I need to edit; can someone point me in the right direction?

I’d like to tuck away the sidebar for my blog when the forum is showing, I know this is possible, but how can I do this?
