So you quote and reply to a person, but only the original poster

Published on February 16th, 2013 by badmaash

Hi

It seems that your replies in this forum can only be made to the first post and you cannot really reply to someone else’s reply as the functionality to quote their reply in your post does not exist

Is this correct?

Thanks

Putting the @username below name

Published on February 16th, 2013 by Tanya

I am trying to add the username underneath a person’s avatar, like in these forums (circled in the pic above). I know where to add the code in loop-single-reply.php and I have tried looking in the beta release of bbPress 2.3 in case it was included there, but I am not having any luck.

Would anyone know what code I would need to insert to bring up the username?

Integrating WP w/ bbPress

Published on February 15th, 2013 by brian47374

I am running WP 3.5.1 and bbPress 2.2.4. I want to be able to integrate WP w/ BP “courses” or pages. What I am trying to do is to have a course/page that has a discussion forum. How can I go about linking the two together? If there is documentation on this and I missed it, please let me know. Or, if I need another discussion forum or plugin to accomplish my goal.

Thanks in advance!

Removing Profile Nav Menu Item & Rename

Published on February 15th, 2013 by Norm

I need to remove the Forum tab in the buddypress user profile navigation and can’t find where to remove it. Users on my site won’t have the ability to create new topics so showing their topics isn’t relevant in the profile.

Also I want to rename the Forum tab in buddypress groups but can’t find where to make that change.

These seem like simple things but have been elusive to me.

any advice? Thanks in advance

Paid work offered.

Published on February 15th, 2013 by youngmoneychina

Hi,

Where can i find freelancers who are offering paid work on bbpress.

I need a specific alteration making and would happily pay for a trustworthy person to implement it.

Im looking for a way to make a topic or forum only accessible to one user plus admin.

I have tried various plugins but none seem to offer this.

I need something like the following:

Admin creates topic called “john private” and “paul private

Admin logs in and can see and post in “john private” along with “paul private”

John logs in and can see and post in “john private” he cannot see “paul private”

Paul logs in and can see and post his private area but cannot see or post in johns.

Would be better if each user has a topic or forum area created for them automatically on sign up that only them and admin can see without admin having to manually create each one.

I will need a large amount of these private areas for customers like John and Paul.

Question is, where can i find someone to do this?

Thanks.
