Install Plugins button not showing up

Published on March 21st, 2013 by dvharrison

Hi all

I have installed BBPress version 1.2 to act as a standalone forum alongside my online shop http://folliclehealth.com/forum/ (we don’t have WordPress installed). I created it in a separate folder so it doesn’t interfere with the main website.

Everything has gone brilliantly but I have found that there is no Install plugin button in the admin area.

Is this normal and if so, how am I supposed to integrate plugins (eg anti-span, etc)?

Please advise.

Even/Odd color change for individual posts?

Published on March 21st, 2013 by Nate

Just curious. Is this possible? I noticed it works for
`#content table tbody tr.odd td {
background-color:#ffffff;
color: white !important;
}

#content table tbody tr.even td {
color: white !important;
background: #000000;
}`
But that’s only topic listing.

Thanks!

Shutting down forum based on user time zone

Published on March 21st, 2013 by Gettinitdone

hello all

I am enjoying working with wordpress/bbpress/s2member on a new website.

I would like to make the forum unavailable to users from 10pm-6am. This will depend on the users time zone.

Is this possible?

Thank you

Different avatar sizes

Published on March 20th, 2013 by hatherley

I just noticed my BBpress forum has started using different avatar sizes – And I haven’t made any CSS changes as of late, anyone have a clue?

And one more thing, how do you guys add the @username below the real name on this bbpress installation? Is there an option I’ve missed?

Thanks!

Locate "Viewing" and "Tagged"

Published on March 20th, 2013 by magnuswp

Hi,

So I need to locate the following text in the bbpress edit files to be able to customize them:
– “Tagged”
– “Viewing 3 topics – 1 through 3 (of 3 total)”

Where can I find them, please state the file where I can find it.

Thanks!

Forum Topic "Notify me…" checkbox not appearing.

Published on March 20th, 2013 by lamarant

Hi,

I have a new installation of WP/Buddypress that I’ve installed and I have a question regarding Group Forums. For some reason I am not seeing the “Notify me of follow-up replies via e-mail” checkbox that should appear below the “tags” option as seen in these forums as well as here:

Driving me nuts. Is there a way to turn this feature on? What am I missing?

Display "Login" "Logout" in the menu bar

Published on March 20th, 2013 by pcgs51

Is there a simple way to display Display “Login” “Logout” in the menu bar? Or is this a customization beyond the bbPress documentation?

I know I can use a widget in the sidebar that will display this but is there a way to click word “Login” in the nav bar to go to a page with a login form AND when logged in display the word “Logout” in the menu bar (replacing the word “Login”) and either go to that page to logout or even better simply click the nav bar and logout?

Thanks
