Recommend a plugin?
Hi, I’m using the latest Buddypress 1.8 & BBpress 2.4 with usergroups & sitewide forums setup. Everything seems great but is it possible to keep sitewide forums separated from group forums; like displaying them on different pages. Also how to view only 10 forums per page. Im not that BP or BBpress code savy so it would be a great help if someone gives me clear instructions. Struggling for a long time and I seem to be hitting a dead end. Any help would be much appreciated.

I am running the latest version (2.4) along with the latest version of WP (2.6.1) and BuddyPress (1.8.1) and my Search Box for the Forum has apparently disappeared? It was there at one point, but now it is missing and I’m not really sure when it disappeared, just noticed it yesterday, but I cannot find any useful solutions? Thanks for your help (hopefully)!

After reading about some very encouraging results with WordPress and redis (eamann.com, jeedo.net), along with seeing redis included in the core of modern forum suites like NodeBB and Discourse, I can’t help but wonder if redis might be the ideal caching solution for bbPress as well.

If anyone has some first-hand experiences to share, I’m all ears.

My wordpress sidebar in the way of my forum. I need to make my forum full page. Also, I can navigate up or down in my forum. I don’t think my forum pages is pointing to the front page of my forum. Please help. (my website isn’t online yet)

mysite.com/forums/users/johnsmith

Where john smith = who ever is currently logged in. Is there a default url, php or otherwise, to link the user back to their BBpress profile? I would imagine mysite.com/forums/users/ should do the trick but it doesn’t and I’ve tried a ton of other things. Does anyone have any idea about this basic functionality?

I have a problem where by my forum index page works:

http://www.physoc.org.uk/physocforum/

But the forum base does not:

http://www.physoc.org.uk/forums/

When you click on the link to ‘forums’ on any forum page, the page that is returned is course the forum base of course, which is no good.

Does anybody know a fix please?

I am using a modification of the Recent Activity widget for a horizontal display, rather than on a vertical sidebar. The only modification I have to it are scritly CSS based:

As you can see, the recent forum activity (under the main navigation) is not in the correct order from left being most recent to right being least recent of the five.

Any ideas as to why?
