I’m curious how I can do this. When I initially set up my forums I didn’t do it well and now I’ve shifted to forums that are closed so you can reply to topics but not create a new topic.
I don’t want to lose all my other posts people made but they were in forums and then topics. I’m curious how I can take their posts and just move one topic into another topic! Is this possible? Thanks
Hi all, I am an extreme amateur at any coding, so please bear with me.
I am having a few issues with the default template.
First, I have a missing breadcrumb separator. When I am viewing all topics, this is what I get.
When I am viewing a single topic, the separator appears, but a space is missing after the last separator.
Also, when viewing all forums, there is a space missing from between the topic name and date in the Freshness box.
Those are the little issues. The big issue is that the forum seems to mess up something with the style sheet and fades the background. I think the transparency setting of the columns in the theme style sheet is somehow being applied to the background.

Is there a way to export all forum, posts and replies in a XML file like is available in wordpress for posts, comments and all other content.
I want a one click option for exporting the content. I do not care about preserving logins.

I imported my mingle forum to bbpress.
At first the users who posted topic in forum was showing correctly
But after i logged in through my admin ..all username shope my name in it.

I don’t use an iPhone or iPad but one of my moderators does. I count on her to keep an eye on this capability for me. Today she wrote me that she can’t post at all on either after an ios update.
Is anyone able to advise me how to fix this so she can post? If she can’t post, then others who use the website on their iPhones probably can’t post either.

“Today I did an update (ios 7.0.4) to my iPad. NOW, just like my iPhone, I can not post on the forum anymore. Hmmmm……so, now it’s both my iPhone and my iPad, but both AFTER I updated the software. NOW the only way I can communicate (write) on the forum is on my computer. And as I’m rarely home and if so, not often near the computer, I am not able to post often. Hence, I have not been communicating much on the forum – now it will be less until I get this worked out. On both my phone and ipad, I can read all the posts, it updates to the latest and greatest posts, but the keyboard will not come up to write to post.
I will try to go by the Apple store here to see if they have any answers, but as this just happened today after installing the “update” to my iPad, I did not really realize the problem was related to the updates – now, I’m sure it is. Gotta love Apple!! Or not…”
Hey guys, I’m new to BBpress. so I have a few questions that I’m hoping can be solved here.
The theme I’m using has 2 different custom Sidebars and other features that can be enabled and disabled on the page settings.
I’ve created a custom Page template for the forum and tried using the Shortcodes to implement BBpress on the page and it works but once you click something on the page it directs back to the original template. Is there a way to have the whole forum and index and everything on the one page?

When posting in forums is restricted to logged in users, the text “You must be logged in to create new topics” is shown. Is it possible to change this text or link it to (or append a link to) the login form to make the text actually helpful rather than just a blunt rejection?
