In reply to: WordPress Theme Integration – Conditional Header
Works like a charm. Thanks fel, you do yeoman’s work here.
In reply to: How to disable rss ?Would this prevent someone from hitting http://yoursite.com/forums/feed and getting a response? I assumed it would not.
In reply to: How to disable rss ?The most important thing is that I remove the ability to get RSS. Removing autodiscovery is a secondary issue. The template files are easy to modify, I am not worried about that. The private forums plugin did a good job and there is very limited code in there dedicated to RSS. There must be a way to just shut it down with a simple filter plugin.
In reply to: How to disable rss ?I am looking for a generalized way to stop all feeds from BBPress.
Is there a core file I can delete? I deleted register.php to prevent any user registrations (and removed any links to it). Where is the ‘beating heart’ of the RSS so I can rip that out too?
Note – I was using the private categories plugin which did this nicely but I have migrated to Amember and am coding the security right into the theme.
In reply to: WP 2.4You guys are awesome.
In reply to: WP 2.4Thanks… looks like it is a big deal then. No Wp2.4 upgrade until a new bbPress then.
In reply to: Plugin: Private Forums v 2.1This was a problem people observed but could never identify root cause. It would seem that whatever this plugin is doing is reproducing a more generalized problem.
In reply to: Can’t add additional tags to postI thought you were proposing changes to the core files. If so I was wondering if this should be put in as a change to the code database, which would mean submitting a bug to the BBPress Trac database.
In reply to: Can’t add additional tags to postShould this be submitted to Trac?
Outstanding. Well done.
In reply to: Can’t add additional tags to postAdd me to the list of people with the exact same problem. Disabling the plugin solved my problem.
I can’t tell you how great this forum is.
In reply to: user profile link – bb vs wpNot a bad idea for the wordpress integration plugin… redirect the results of user_profile_link to the wordpress page.
In reply to: Cookie Question – WP, BB, and beyondDid you ever get this working? I plan to try soon.
Amember has a WordPress plugin but I’d like to know if it cascades successfully through a WordPress/BBPress integration.
In reply to: WordPress/BBPress Single Sign OnMD5 is unique to the website URL… not the user.
In reply to: What are the future plans for bbpress ?Thanks for all of your work.
In reply to: What are the future plans for bbpress ?Yes, I am curious too. I can’t contribute so I always feel guilty asking.
In reply to: What are the future plans for bbpress ?That’s not true… there is activity.
In reply to: k2 for bbpressThanks for responding.. there was one problem I fixed here…
If you have few posts (and a lot of tags) the tag list would run off the page. While this is rare, it is common in cases where all but one of the forums would be private- new users would see the ugly tag overflow.
Thanks for a great theme… much appreciated.
In reply to: k2 for bbpressI mean K2 wordpress… not BBPress…
If one were to add enhancements to the K2 BBpress theme, I don’t think there is an SVN to submit changes.
Does it make sense to have a themes SVN just like plugins?
In reply to: k2 for bbpressThanks. At some point I want to integrate this into the full K2. I like the theme but the lack of recent progress on development is disconcerting.
In reply to: k2 for bbpressI have found if I post very long links they do not wrap. Any clue on how to prevent this?
In reply to: Plugin: Private Forums v4.05.2 Works for me. Fixed profile issues.
In reply to: Should I get an email when new users are created?I stand corrected… I register everyone through the WP admin interface. I don’t think BB press has an admin based registration interface.
In reply to: Should I get an email when new users are created? You do not receive notification of new users.
WordPress does notify the admin via email when a new account is created. If you have a wordpress blog and integrate user databases you will receive notification.
