It’s not off topic at all to talk about WordPress. I’m saying that the development of the two products is very much done in parallel, so if a decision is made about how tags should be inputed in WordPress (which is likely at this stage as tags are in development in WP), then that will likely affect the bbPress implementation. Perhaps you will get a better answer asking on the developers mailing list or by submitting a bug report on the Trac site.

The first two problems are fixed with a refresh of the page, not ideal I realise, but it is merely a display issue. If you add this to Trac it will be addressed in time.
Can anyone else confirm or deny the third issue that riddle has posted?
Tag formatting should be consistent with whatever WordPress does.
Turn of permalinks and see if the problem remains. (In config.php)
If it works without permalinks then the problem is probably with your .htaccess file.
I think there is a problem with the upgrade script that causes this. There is no problem creating new topics.
You can manually edit the slugs in the database if you have this problem on a production site.
I’ll raise a ticket about this though.

The change in that ticket only covers moderators, admins and keymasters. Not members.
This is as it should be because members are not and should not be trusted by default. The automation of member signup, login and post is possible. Not to mention real human spamming by ill-intentioned “members”.
So this is behaviour by design as far as I can tell.
This could be done with a plugin. However there is no way to do this using a default install.
Make sure you aren’t inserting the html inside a block of PHP. Can you post the code here for better analysis?
Sounds like your keymaster may be accidentally marked as a bozo. Check the edit profile page for the keymaster and see if they are marked as a bozo.
bbRatings plugin allows the rating of topics and could probably be modified to allow rating of each reply too.
