Have you gone into the back end under settings___>forums and re-saved the options?
Might need a refresh!
Narrowed it down to a plugin that wouldn’t activate for some reason through bulk activation in the backend. It would only activate when you activated it manually on its own.
BB Press works perfectly, although I don’t see the old twenty ten drop down.
I use theme compat so it’s not an issue, but has that feature been dropped now?
Actually, this IS a plugin issue. Will report back soon.
Don’t know what this is caused by just yet, but after upgrading on my staging site when a logged in user tries to look at his profile, the tabs won’t load to go from ‘Profile’ to ‘Activity’ etc.
Looking at someone else’s profile loads just fine though, including the BBPress ‘forums’ tab and sub menus.
Have tried with all other plugins turned off but still get the same issue.
Nick, I’m sure the videos are actually controlled by WP.
Go into settings, then media and simply specify a max width. You should be good then!
I’m looking to implement BBPress 2.1, can I have a look at anyone’s install to see how it looks?

This isn’t just happening on my setup though, it’s happening over at http://www.testbp.org too.
If you get an account, sign in and favourite any topic, then click on favourites… it won’t show any topics or anything.
Same happens if you reply to or start a new forum topic. this doesn’t show up in the BP profile tab which is labelled ‘Forums’ in your profile.
I’m guessing it should, but no such luck so far.
Anyone using this with Buddypress and have a similar experience?
Awesome, will see what JJ says. This would be invaluable if it could be built into buddypress. I know a lot of clients who want to move away from the group forums in buddypress and just use sitewide BBpress 2.0 forums instead!

Is the procedure the same as converting BBpress 1.0?

Jeez, I didn’t know that was ready! That sounds awesome! So does the importer use the old ‘group’ names as forums or just import all of the posts in one forum?

It would be awesome to place shortcodes on pages for stuff like this. Where you could perhaps show x number of latest topics etc.
Is there any news on an exporter by the way, to export old Buddypress groups/ forums into the new BB Press plugin.
I want to get rid of groups and just have some forums like on test-bp.org.
The group names would effectively become the main forum names and then the topics would appear in each forum.
Is that on the cards?
